Bagelry & Brew — Restaurant in La Verne

I have lived in the area for about 40 years and never tried this place. We amazed by the service and their quality of food is good.

My daughter had the Grilled Triple Cheese Sandwich and tomato basil soup. My wife had tomato basil soup. I tried the So Cali pizza.

The basil soup and grilled cheese were relatively good--they came with bagel chips. I was impressed by the pizza with bacon, pepperoni, garlic, onions, and jalapeno--very good combination and will keep vampires away. I LOVE garlic.

Lots of seating inside as well a a cute décor. Outside has a nice raised patio. Cleaned outside and in.

But the most impressive thing about this was their service--and I am big on service. Staff spoke clearly and were easy to understand. Took time to explain the dishes. Genuinely enjoyed being there. I spoke with the manager/owner. She was very customer friendly. Now-a-days it seems like people are there not realizing the reason customers spend their money at their establishment (at least in my age bracket) SERVICE!

I recommend this place if you like.... almost anything...including a few good seltzers. Check out their menu AND they have a drive through!

P.S. My daughter left her retainers there and the server keep them for us; the next morning I picked them up...great...

I’ve been coming here for at least 9 years and it’s been my favorite place to eat in La Verne. Unfortunately, the last 4 times I’ve eaten there it’s been disappointing. The same young woman has helped me each time and it has taken an incredibly long time for me to get my food. I had never had this issue at Sals before. The first time she helped me I was waiting at the drive through window for almost 20 minutes and then she forgot to add tuna to my tuna sandwich. When I drove back to get it remade she was rude about the whole thing but the other man working there was so nice and quickly fixed it. I decided to come back and give it another try even after all of this. I ended up waiting an incredibly long time again and she covered the bagel in so much mayonnaise that I just can’t eat it. I usually love this place and it’s employees so much but I don’t think I’ll be coming back...

2 Years ago, i've had a stunning philly cheese steak here - which i couldnt forget about. So , this time i had the opportunity to take another one, since im from Germany there is not an option to eat here on a regular base... Sadly ...

So i went here again, for a philly - told the cashier that i've been here some time ago and hope it will be as yummy as it was back in the days, and guess what ! The Chef himself delivered me a outstanding philly cheese steak sandwich! I was blown away! Great staff, amazing food! Thank you for the chat, i know you know im talking about you ;)

I wish we had a place just like that over here in Germany, please keep this up and when im back (hopefully soon!) ill try the Burgers aswell!
