Tea Leaf and Creamery La Verne — Restaurant in La Verne

I’ve been a customer since this place first opened, but after what happened last night (10/11/2025), you won’t ever catch me here again. When we first walked in, we were immediately yelled at by the woman behind the counter saying, “We only have one takoyaki left!” except we didn’t even know what that was. She could have kindly explained or suggested something else like a bubble waffle, but instead her tone completely threw off our order and added unnecessary stress to our party.

We came to celebrate and ended up walking out upset. To make things worse, they forgot our fifth order of ice cream. We waited 15 minutes extra for our 5th order. When we asked about it, a different woman rudely said, “You didn’t order ice cream,” which was not true.

Train your employees to be kind!!! Customer service here is terrible basically non-existent. It’s sad to see how much this place has...

If I could givebit no stars I would. First and last visit here. My daughter loves boba but decided to order the Taiyaki ice cream for herself and her brother. Well 40 min later we still didn't have our order, we're the only ones in the store and we can see that both employees are struggling to get the waffle off of the waffle maker. We could see them looking at us to see if we were observing. After numerous attempts we decide to approach them and request a refund. Well they dont do refunds and offer something else. Well we don't want anything else. We could even see they were having trouble with the blenders and had to call the manager out. I asked how are we going to get something else of nothing is working? He magically opened the register and gave is our money back. Never again! Don't go here if you're in a hurry. We were there almost 45 minutes and walked out...

This place just opened up yesterday and l highly recommend it. It is beautifully decorated inside... it's very Bright and Cheery. I ordered a Super Fruit Green Tea with no sweetener and l thought that it was naturally sweet enough for my taste because l don't like super sweet drinks. It had Green Tea, lime, lemon, grapefruit and dragon fruit in it. It was Very refreshing!! The options are healthy and not so healthy:) They have Boba, teas, ice cream and other things. They have fresh Ube and Taro root that that are mashed up (no powder) and put into the drinks. Lastly, they have alternative milks as well as real milk options. They serve it in a nice reusable...
