Third Street Wine Shop — Restaurant in La Verne

I love this place! Fantastic customer service, knowledgeable staff, cozy and quaint atmosphere--everything I look for when I consider winding down after a long week.

I've never been one to truly taste wine, however, when Matt reviewed the descriptions of each wine; I was amazed at how complex a wine can be, and how his notes about each wine were spot on with how they taste. Not only did I find my favorite wine tonight, Pianetta Barbera, I learned about each wine on the tasting list. I will now have a desire to smell, swirl, and taste, rather than simply drinking wine.

I am always impressed with the tasting selection and the progression through the tasting list. Just when I think I've found my favorite, I taste the next and love it just as much or more.

I cannot think of a better addition to downtown La Verne than a wine tasting shop!

I had never know this place existed until I passed by one day last week I took my mother with me for my visit and we both enjoyed our visit. We were greeted warmly by the owners who gave us run down of all the wines they were pouring and menu options available. The shop is located in a awesome early 20th century house. Indoor or outdoor seating is available. The wine list changes weekly. They have tasting flights or wine by the glass or bottle available and are reasonably priced. Service is friendly and prompt. The wines they poured tonight for the tasting flight were all very good. Cheese and meat plates are also available. Based on the wines tonight and the level of service, I will certainly be back. I love this place! The wines are consistently good. Their events are fun and informative. The staff is great. They enjoy wine and are quite knowledgeable, so the wines they sell are wines they know themselves. They're great if you're a newbie just learning for the first time and if you've been an enthusiast for many years.

On occasion, I like to bring some of my work with me and get things done on their front porch with a glass. I've also introduced people to the world of wine simply by bringing them there and letting Matt take us through a flight. Heck, we're even club members, now!
