Takeout with Vietnamese Restaurant.

First time ordering with them. We ordered the $32 meal: 2 Large pho, 2(6in) banh mi & 1appetizer

First Pho : Combo ($9.95) Second Pho: Vegan (9.95) 2 (6) banhmi One chicken ($6.95) one pork (6.95) Appetizer: Vegan eggroll ($5.50) Total cost if you had to order seperately: $39.30

We also did 2 drinks. Peach boba tea $3.95 Milk tea boba: $3.95

Other charges were 9% tax and 5% online processing fee that 100% profit goes to tri city food pantries. What confuses me is why it says 100% profit, instead of it saying it just goes to the tri city food pantries. How much is not profit?

Pho: 4.5 star I did not try the vegan pho, but my friend said she liked it. In both our cases, we thought the same of the soup. It had a nice mild flavor which both of us were happy with. We could not detect any MSG. Our issue was how it was packaged for takeout. Not sure how you would eat it in the car if you were just picking up to go eat outside or at your desk at work. Noodles is separate from the soup which is GOOD because it would just be way too soggy by the time we got home. The noodles come with thai basil, cilantro, lime, what I think was jalapeno, and bean sprouts. There is also hot sauce and what looked like hoisin sauce in small containers. We found we needed a separate larger bowl to combine the two things (soup and the noodles with all the fixings) they gave us. Since I was at home I did happen to have a large enough bowl to transfer it into, but be prepared, you will need to make sure its available.

Banhmi sandwiches 4 star The filling was very good. I've just had better bread, but still a solid sandwich.

Vegan Egg roll 4 star Comes with a peanut sauce

Boba tea: The flavors for each were good. In the milk I could definitely taste evaporated milk. If you like that flavor (I do) then you'll love it. Reminded me of a HKG milk tea. I would SKIP the tapioca pearls. They were not that great. It did not have that bouncy chew. The drink itself was tasty though, so I would recommend that.

Other things of note: We chose dine in when there is no dine in option. They only have curbside pickup. You should call them when you get there. They did not pay attention to the ice level modifications that we asked for. So not sure if we got our sugar level modification. If they can't modify it would be nice if they told us while we were there. There is no vegan option for their boba tea. Everything comes with milk. They have a more clearly laid out area for their vegan options, so if you have a vegan friend its still a decent...

I visiited The Vietnamese Restaurant yesterday in La Vista and had another wonderful food experience. The place is owned and operated by the family and the gentlemen that served we was very friendly, helpful and oh so very kind.

It was clean and very nicely decorated with various decorative artifacts, flowers and plants. I thought it was a nice comfortable family run business that does very well with making you feel at home.

I ordered the Rare beef & Meatball Pho - the broth was extremely tasty, full of flavor and very aromatic. They packaged everything very well for my to-go order. The side fixin's (vegetables, spices, sauces) were all packaged separately and prepared very nice and everything was very fresh. They also give you a togo bowl big enough for everything to be mix together with the broth.

I also ordered the pork spring rolls and chicken spring rolls and they were very good too. Fresh vegetables, EXCELLENT size portion. The contents were very generous, great mixture and tasted great!

I know I know I ordered a lot for just me, but I feel like it was a rather healthy meal so I could indulge a little more. This place was a hidden gem in La Vista, I will definitely be visiting them...

Vietnamese Restaurant in Lavista (VRLA) is the absolute best Phö place in town. The variety of portions and homemade recipes are the tastiest in the Omaha area! VRLA sells a lot of their sauces to enjoy at home. I’ve never had a chili sauce with hints of habanero before. Although a spicer pepper, the chili oil adds a unique floral flavor to their already splendid Phö dish. Careful the cook lady sometimes throws more spice in different batches! They also have a hilarious Phö King challenge! 7lbs of Phö in about 45 minutes, and it’s free with a T-shirt! Only 2 kings so far. In regards to service, we have not had a bad waiter or waitress yet! In fact when our daughter accidentally took a spoonful of chili oil (Dad needs to keep it farther away apparently) Casey, partial owner and waiter, jumped on the scene to do all possible to help out! They go above and beyond at Vietnamese Restaurant in La Vista! I can only send 5 stars their way, but it would be 10 if possible! They blow all other competition out of the water at Vietnamese Asian in La Vista!
