My oat milk with honey and cinnamon latte was delicious. Other than that, I wasn’t a huge fan of the place. I was hoping to set up shop there for a few hours and get some work done, but the seating I chose was super uncomfortable and after about 20 minutes of hunching over to read my laptop screen my back was sore. I thought about moving to a different table instead of the high bar, but all the tables seemed too far from any outlets to charge my laptop. The space wasn’t very comfy, and although I get the vibe they were going for, it seemed kinda cold and unwelcoming. The wood tables were super cute, but very rough, and after hearing from one of the baristas that the owners put the tables together themselves, it kinda made sense. Shortly after that I got a wood splinter… I think they would be more welcoming if they were properly sanded down and stained. Even though I wasn’t a fan of the space, the coffee was great and the baristas were super friendly/helpful and I think that’s the most important thing honestly. I probably won’t be coming back to study, but I’m sure I’ll be back for a latte at some point.
Oh- every time a customer came in, it seemed like they would compare their coffee/cold brew/etc to cutters point coffee… I don’t know if the baristas were told specifically to do that but it seemed kinda unprofessional, and a little weird. Maybe try to build a positive clientele for your own company with great service and coffee and don’t try to tear down other local businesses… I know the owners of a couple of the cutter points and they would never say anything bad about a local business, even if they’re...
Read moreThis is the first time I have encountered such a rude staff in this area. We ordered our coffee, children's drinks, a muffin, and a cookie in the store, but the staff seemed busier with drive-through orders. We received drinks and a muffin we ordered, but not a cookie. When we first ordered a cookie, she said she would prepare it separately for display purposes only, but we only received drinks and a muffin. When we asked her not to receive a cookie, she said she had already given it to us with another drink. When we told her again that we had not received the camera to check, she said that another customer must have taken it. The customer waiting after us only ordered smoothie drinks, and we could tell by looking at them. She did not admit her mistakes and acted as if we were taking it for granted and lying to her. She can make mistakes because they are busy, but it's really rude to act and say things like we're lying. Can't she just check the CCTV? We asked again because we didn't receive everything we ordered. And when I went to order another drink for my friend, she who was rude to us sent another employee away. I will never go here again and I will tell my friends that I have never been to a place so rude. As a neighbor who supports local businesses, I am so...
Read moreI go to River City Church which is located at Nisqually Middle School on Sundays, so whenever people want to meet, we head to Cafe Elite. I remember when this place was Forza but they're under new management. My favorite thing to order is the peach smoothie. I could have that every day. The cookies at the counter is nice and they will warm it up for you. They sell girly merch, so it's stuff like tiny cacti, air fresheners with inspirational sayings, and home items which is nice to peruse. On Fridays they have an open mic/karaoke hosted by I think the security guard. He's a lot of fun, very nice, and has a lovely singing voice. Always happy when someone says they want to meet at Cafe Elite where I can get some sweets to eats. The only thing I could complain about is the service is a little too casual. They employees are nice, but they don't really have a sense of urgency. I'm never in a hurry, but I also have noticed that they like to take their time. Whatever. It's still a nice...
