This is a sad and very disappointing review. My family and I had been coming to New Teryaki in Lacey for years. Loved the food and the previous owner was always kind and took very good care of us as a family. Today was unreal!!! Ordered 90 dollars worth of Sushi and food. Very typical for us as we literally would spend thousands of dollars at this place every year. The new owners keep hiring brand new employees and DO NOT TRAIN THEM PROPERLY!!! First off, the new employee did not know how to properly ring us up regarding sushi prices, had to have the manager or whatever this guy is, maybe he's the new owner come over and properly ring us up. It took almost an hour for our Sushi to arrive!!! AN HOUR!!! Then the food we ordered still had not arrived. We only ordered Orange Chicken and Sweet and sour chicken with rice. We asked the new employee 3 times where or what happened to our food???? Each time the answer was, "it's coming up". An hour and a half later the food still hadn't arrived!!! Went up and asked and we were told that they accidentally lost the order ticket. WHAT??? IT TOOK AN HOUR AND A HALF TO LET US KNOW AFTER LYING TO US THAT THE FOOD WAS ON THE WAY!!! I asked for a refund and the new employee gets the RUDE AND VERY DISRESPECTFUL MANAGER!! The employee kept making excuses and so forth and I told her she needs to accept responsibility and stop blaming others!! The manager immediately gives me a DIRTY AND VERY DISRESPECTFUL LOOK AND SAYS " Do not abuse my employees", I couldn't believe it!!! I told him we will never set foot in this place again. He responded by YELLING AT ME IN FRONT OF MY ENTIRE FAMILY and said " Good we don't want you here and you are BANNED FROM EVER COMING HERE AGAIN". WOW!!! The former owner would have felt horrible that it took over an hour to get half the food out and then to completely forget about the other half, she would have given us our entire meal for free and apologized profusely. What a shame, oh well on to a place that truly cares and appreciates good families in our community. This place could care less about hard working families who support them with their hard earned money and in return just expect friendly service and kind hearted people who run...
Read moreI have been going to this place for a year. Never had any issues until today when I was asked to put a mask on, for the first time in a year by two young girls. As soon as I said no, the atmosphere changed and they seemed upset. I watched them stand over my order with one other male employee. While it looked as if he was recording my plate, they were all giggling. One girl picked up my plate and stepped out of my view, in the space to go behind the counter. I watched the other girl walk over to the first girl and grab a piece of food off my plate, turn around, pulls down her mask and shoves the piece of food in her mouth. She brings me my food and I ask her to take it back because I saw what they just did. She claims there is a place where she was standing out of my view where they eat from, when there is nothing more then a walk space to get in and out, where she was standing. Where did the food come from, other than my plate? I ask to speak with whoever is in charge. To sum this up. A man comes from the back and tells me I’m being disrespectful and...
Read moreI have been mostly happy with the food I have gotten from NS&T...until last Thursday. My parents and sister had complained to me about the inconsistency in quality before, but I had not experienced it until last week. The meal I got then was terrible; cooked to a minimum wellness and virtually flavorless. I would say to the owners, from my many years in the restaurant business, I can tell you this: inconsistent quality will kill you faster than just about anything. Serve a good meal consistently and people will keep coming back. But when people aren't sure what they're going to get from one visit to the next, they will be reluctant to return, as I now am. Not all people that can cook can cook well. I advise you to find the weak link in your kitchen and remedy it. Otherwise, I will wait to see what business occupies your space...
