I Didnt want to Give any stars, but I had to give at least 1 to move on. I ate here twice, Im not going to make my judgement off of one experience, but the two times were so bad I will never return. The first time we dined in. We got our food, and about three quarters of the way through my wifes meal she finds a hair. Ok hairs happen, but she dug around a bit and found 7 more! They tried to say it was her hair, but it was under the food and they were black, short hairs. My wife has long brown hair and at the time had some color in it. They did end up comping the meal. The second experience was kind of an accident. I went to go pick up a "to go" order. Thought it was familiar but didnt realize it was the same place. It had been a couple years. This time I went to the counter and said I was there to pick up. Right in the middle of me talking the lady walked away to answer a phone. Ok... well another lady came up to put her receipts in the computer. When she was finaly done she askdd if she could help me. I told her my name and she found my order. She left it on the counter and I paid. She then said thank you and walked away. What the hell? So the original lady came over and said she needed to bag up my order and she will bring it out to me. Its sitting right there! So I waited. Another customer walked in, paid got his order, and left. Ok now my blood is boiling! After helping 2 more customers, she finaly bagged up my food. When she brought it to me finaly, she basically shoved the food in my arms and was walking away before I had it in my hands. No eye contact. Got home opened the food and the fried rice a tofu smelled like fish. We took a bite and it tasted like they fried the rice in fish oil. It was disgusting. So we opened the stir fried veggies. My god it was absolutely un edible. The veggies were so slimy, it was like they dipped each veggie in vaseline. So needless to say, We will never go here again! And I recomend, if you have a taste for asian food, Panda express is even a better option. Not...
Read moreThis is a first impression as we went by for the first time for lunch today. We ordered in for taro bubble tea, egg rolls, lunch bento box and the shrimp cho mein. Both dishes came with miso soup. I really enjoyed their miso soup. It was more sour than I am use to but I really like that. The bubble tea like all bubble tea is really sweet. It is more like a milk shake dessert than a drink but very tasty. The egg rolls were very crispy and not oily. The wrapping reminded me of the taste of funnel cake, so it was not my favorite but my husband and 3 year old enjoyed them. I tried the gyoza and the chicken teriyaki from my husbands bento box. The gyoza and chicken tasted pretty standard. No complaints but i would be very interested to try their spicy chicken teriyaki next time. The shrimp cho mein was ok. Slightly sweeter than i like. I had cleared my palate of the bubble tea with water (as i did before tasting anything) to make sure it wasnt adding extra sweetness but it wasnt. The dish did come with a fair amount of medium size shrimp. The portion sizes were very generous for the price.
They had one server during lunch to run food, take orders and answer the ever ringing lunch time phone. He handled it extremely well. It was like watching a live action diner dash game. He was very attentive, super friendly and very polite.
The resturant is small but pleasantly furnished so you dont feel like you are sitting on top of people.
All in all a pleasant experience that my family and i will be...
Read moreFor the price, u really can't get better. My brother found this place when doing errands and decided to stop and bring home dinner. We are on a tight budget, and rarely order out because of that, and boy are we glad to find this place!
So far, I had the beef teriyaki, thinly cut tender and marinated for long while prior to cooking, my bro loves the chicken teriyaki but has also spoken very highly of their Mongolian chicken and many other items on the menu....
Furthermore, the menu is expansive, I can't wait to try the udon and ramen, I'm hoping they use fresh noodles cause that's impossible to find locally done well. Will have to update when I've tried it :-) my family is also hard core sushi people, so I look forward to trying all they make.
Everything is priced reasonablu, for the quality of food I was insanely impressed. We will be making this place a regular stop for our celebration and splurging night!
Oh, and for those of u who love the creamy slightly sweet sesame salad dressing many Asian restaurants seem to have a version of, u are in luck! (We alway mix extra dressing in with our rice and teriyaki, and sometimes we mix in the greens too! Don't knock ut till ya try it!) They have a great version of this dressing and we ordered extra :-)
Thanks got making such amazing food that's affordable! I love ur teriyaki beef, I look forward to trying...
