Worst Dopio Ristretto Espresso I have had. I use many of the local Starbucks as well as others in the area. It was definitely too hot, very burnt cardboard taste, bitter, thin/watery like I'd expect an Americana to be. The shot also looked to be a more long pull vs. a short one. I've never scorched my tongue on a first sip of espresso, this one got me good. Sure, I could go back and ask for a new one to be made. #1 Who wants to be "that guy"? #2 who has time to turn around after leaving a long drive-thru line to wait for another espresso to be made. I thought Starbucks would be the go-to place for consistent service and quality. Olympia Coffee Roasting has the best beans and Filling Station Espresso pulls the best Ristretto (Big Truck roast) of any place I have been in Western Washington. Additionally, the drive-thru line is slow and congests the adjacent parking lots and drives regularly and often. Placed a mobile order, walked in, someone else was waiting for theirs and I was waiting to be spoken to for my mobile order. As I’m waiting it’s been around 2-3 minutes and I start getting annoyed although they’re busy so it’s okay to me. THEN, another person comes in and is INSTANTLY asked if she had a mobile order placed. Mind you, my order was placed well before both of the other two people and at this point was getting cold. Overall I’m just annoyed that this is how I have to start my day. Generally I don’t have bad experiences here but of course on a bad day why not be given a bad experience too! I need to NEVER get a pumpkin spice latte from any other location and all other locations need to TAKE NOTES from this one because THEY DO THE MOST PERFECT PUMPKIN SPICE LATTES EVER!!!!!! Went to a diff location and got an iced one with EXTRA pumpkin spice and it didn’t even taste like it had extra… was a bit bland. Also, went to a diff location today and got a hot one and it’s so disappointing in comparison to the absolutely PERFECT one that they do here 😪 never again!!
