Big Daddy's Pizza Lafayette — Restaurant in Lafayette

Pretty disappointed. We went in for the infamous 'pick-up' special that EVERYONE around here talks about: $10 for a two-topping 12". My mom and I were planning on splitting it in half, giving each other two individual toppings per half, because she is a vegetarian and I am not. I do this ALL the time at pizza places and have never had an issue ever.

The guy at the counter, without hesitation, tells us it'll be $18. Confused, we ask if we're getting the 2-topping special. He claims because we're "getting 4 toppings" (despite the AMOUNT of topping being the same), he has to charge me $8 more. Pretty ridiculous. (Also, not sure where to put this, but the place smelled kinda... funny? Just kind of an "unclean" smell. Hard to describe.)

I ended up just getting a pizza for myself. My mom had to get something else at a different store.

Not only were they rude... to be honest? The pizza sucks. Literally zero flavor in the dough itself, not even something basic like SALT. It tasted like air. The sauce tastes ridiculously salty and almost like those really cheap pizza sauces you get out of a can that taste NOTHING like a pizza sauce from an actual restaurant.

Definitely will not be coming back lol. It sucks because it's cool that this place stays open 'til 3...

The pizza is fine. If you can get it. I’d go to Mici’s down the road for better quality and consistent… food availability.

Last time I ordered online, they didn’t have mozzarella sticks, so instead of making the rest of my order, they wait for me to show up before making anything… why even order ahead in this situation? What is convenient about this at all? I ended up paying for food I never received, since I’d already paid online.

Today, I got a mailer with a coupon, try to use it online but it doesn’t get accepted online. Then I call in, and they tell me their internet is down and they somehow can’t take orders.
