Deano's Pizza — Restaurant in Lafayette

I absolutely hate to leave this review but if I can help someone then I will. I decided to leave a review here to avoid this business being boycotted and blasted by the power of social media but shame on the balloon man that works here! My family and I frequent at the other Lafayette location but decided to go here since we just enjoyed a movie across the street. We had 3 children in attendance all under 5 and the man making balloons never came even an hour after we were seated; I was under the impression he was for a party there. We inquired and the waiter said he would send him over, he came and never acknowledged us, threw balloons on the table, and just made whatever, no communication. I was actually still willing to tip cause the kids deserve the world but he was so rude to us. Before he made the last one I asked “can you make a crown for the baby”, he handed her a dog and walked away. He later spent time at the table in front of us making balloons with the kids and adults even though they continued popping them. It actually was such a bad experience even the teenager at the table noticed and stated “the balloon guy seems racist”. smh and shame on this establishment for not ensuring equality. Sadly we will not be returning to either location. If our money is not wanted we won’t force it....

I eat Deanos South A LOT! My order is never messed up. The food is always 100% consistent. In the evenings I always take out from a blonde haired girl or a tall light brown haired guy. They always call me Mr. Mitchell. They are always very kind & on point. They also always slide a parmesean cheese shaker to me without having to ask because they remember me & take note to provide quality service. Deanos South is 10 out of 5 stars 🙂

I tried to write another review but couldn't figure out how, unless I'm not allowed to. But...I just picked up from there again. Deano's separates themselves from all other competitors & it's because of the employees. Same employees I always deal with & mentioned above. They go out of their way to ensure faithful customers feel important & are taken care of, although, they have done this from the beginning. Ever since I started working in River Ranch & moved here it's a 2-3 min neighborhood drive for me. They stay open late & the food is TOP Quality right b4 closing. The service that my child and I received at this location was VERY disappointing. They were relatively slow at the time that we decided to dine in, so I’m really not sure what was going on in the kitchen. Our waiter came out to let us know that our SMALL pizza had been burnt and dropped on the floor. At this point we had already been waiting an hour for our food….he apologized and let us know that it was being remade. When he came back with the new pizza, I noticed and let him know that it was also burnt all on the bottom. He apologized and asked if we wanted them to remake it….which would’ve probably taken an additional hour. I declined as my child was very hungry by this time. I don’t go ANYWHERE looking for “free” items or “discounts”, but I DO look for good customer service. A simple offer of a cheese stick(there was a small child at the table), a pizza that was not burnt, or the courtesy of the manager coming over would’ve been a commendable gesture at the time. However, nothing happened…we were offered a to-go box for our burnt...
