J.L. Hufford Coffee & Tea Co. — Restaurant in Lafayette

Went there on 12/27 1:49pm. I can't believe people are giving this place good reviews. Several different types of coffee for sale, which is good for variety, but there were NO PRICES LISTED BY THEM. So are you guys trying to hide your prices?? Should I assume they're all equally priced? Why should I have to wait till I get to the register to find out the price? I waited for a barista to answer questions I had about product variety but was ignored. I also bought tea packets of 50, which was only $12.99, and is expensive but I got it so can't complain. I get up to the register. Well at the old location you could choose from 1/4, 1/2, and 1 lb bags of coffee to grind. They told me they ONLY DO 1 lb BAGS NOW. I guess that profit is pretty important to squeeze out of the customers. Well I'm not paying for a coffee I may hate so I only got the breakfast blend and told them to put back the almond flavor. They ring me up for $26.98 excluding taxes. (Good thing I got the typically cheapest coffee for a 1lb, breakfast blend, or else I'd imagine it would have been much more, but of course when they DON'T SHOW THE PRICES OF THEIR COFFEE who knows. After taxes it's $28.87...for just a 1lb of coffee and tea??!! Worse THEY DIDN'T ITEMIZE THEIR RECEIPT. Maybe I'd like to know the price breakdown to see how I got ripped off. DON'T COME HERE. Go to Starbucks...and I hate Starbucks since I think they're coffee is overrated, but at least they advertise their prices. Save your money. If coffee is that important go to the grocery store and get Folgers or drive down the road to Speedway...

the experience buying from this place is beyond unsatisfactory. we made a mistake in purchasing the machine but it was too late to cancel as it has been shipped. we called their support and they said the shipment has been rerouted to go back to their shop. BUT the shipment still came and we had to pay for the shipping even though the box was unopened. when they got the package, it took them a good few days to acknowledge receipt and i had to sent couples of email to ask for refund. When we got the refund, they took 10% of the price (although they did not do anything) and on top i had to pay for $60 shipping. This shop is a trap and YOU SHOULD NOT BUY FROM THERE. they even said they normally charge for 20% restocking fee which is absurd. this shop does not live up to the American way of customer service . it is the worst service i have experienced so far. not helpful at all. they just want to keep the money with...

I went and ordered a large latte. The girl put whipped cream on top and then some other women scooped it off into the sink when she saw her mistake. I kindly told them that I can't consume that because of the sugar. She snub nosed me and poured milk into a cup, added espresso and handed it to me. I took a sip and said this isn't a latte. Another woman said "yes it is." I said "lattes are frothy." She then argued with me and said "they weren't and that I was thinking of a cappuccino." If you Google a latte, it's says the big brother of the cappuccino and even smoother and frothery. They don't even know how to make drinks and argue with their customers. What if I was a diabetic? The attitude and lack of knowledge...
