La Michoacana — Restaurant in Lafayette

Me and my husband have ordered from here many times. Everything is pretty good except for when they make the corn (elote en vaso). I have given the corn (elote en vaso) a few chances now but each time it is done incorrectly. They add so much water from the corn onto the cup, that it takes away all the flavor from the corn and the condiments. The most recent one I had, it actually had more water then the actual mayonaise and other condiments. When i tried mixing the indredients with the corn it all mixed with the water of the corn, which made the corn taste plain as if I was eating boiled water with corn. I highly suggest to please drain the water from the corn before adding to the cup. I was looking forward to eating it but it was very dissappointed when I saw more then half of the cup had water in it. Everything else is great, just this one thing needs fixing. This place is now my favorite ice cream in Lafayette! Unique flavors that are made in house. Very authentic and maybe even better than what we had in CDMX! The employee recommended I try the pinon, and it was unlike anything I've had before, so good. My husband had the berry cheesecake and said it was the best cheesecake ice cream he's had in his life.

I’ve been keeping an eye on this place and waiting for it to open and I’m glad it did! La Michoacana will now be my go to spot when wanting a sweet treat.
