Now delivering: disappointment.
I get an email from McDonald's that says "for a limited time squishmallows are available in Happy Meals".
Silly me I thought it would be a wonderful treat to have two happy meals delivered; one for my granddaughter and one for her friend who both love Squishmallows and McDonald's.
So I place the order including a couple of other sandwiches, leaving a generous tip for delivery and the total is upwards of $35
The food is delivered quickly however when we open up the bag there's only one Happy Meal... and to add insult to injury, the one toy that was included with the one Happy Meal wasn't a Squishmallow at all.
The sandwiches looked like they were made by someone under extreme duress.
Since this was all done through Doordash in the McDonald's app I was unable to leave a review for the driver who failed to check if the order was complete.
I was able to call McDonald's and get a partial refund of about $7.75. Yet all the delivery fees and service fees were kept and the tip.
It was a small consolation for the palpable disappointment at having to share one Happy Meal.
I hope I am never tempted to order delivered...

They have had issues "cleaning the chicken fryer" (their exact words) yet still sold chicken which was absolutely disgusting. Manager insisted that this store "does not give refunds" even though I was promised a refund from the store manager just yesterday through a phone call. I was ignore by female manager on duty during our conversation, had to keep repeating myself, and then was not given the correct refund as promised. Manager would only refund a mc chicken which is not a deluxe crispy chicken that I ordered. Manager on duty and employees was very rude, incompetent and treated me like complete trash when all I was doing was coming in for the refund I was promise by the store manager just yesterday. I highly recommend never coming to this location, I would never want anyone else to be treated like I was. No one deserves to be treated like complete trash. Do yourself a favor and take your business to another location that will not treat customers...
Read moreTime and again I've tried to give this place a chance. I'm not usually one to complain, or make waves. I tend to just let things go, and move on. But at this point, I'm sick of rude cashiers, lying managers, and thieves. This instance (and many exactly like it in past) excluding things like wrong orders refusal to fish, replace, or refund, etc, is the fact that using the app to try and save money. And they REPEATEDLY change things to make it cost more anyways This example is I used a buy one get one sandwich for.50 (50 cents) for breakfast. I ordered 2 steak bagels, intendng for the code to be used for that, as it's a 5 dollar sandwich. Then I order 2 suasage muffins, and they CHANGED THE CODE TO IT. Right in front of me. I watched it change on the screen. Thus, charging me even more. And then refuses to change it back. Wouldn't even give me an excuse as to why. Why give us deals if your just going to maneuver it to screw us over. This was finally my breaking point, as it's not the first time they've done this. I recommend literally ANYTHING else...
