McDonald's — Restaurant in Lafayette

The Evening Manager is extremely rude and condescending at this McDonald's branch. You should either TEACH HIM PROPER COURTESY AND CUSTOMER CARE or just get rid of him!! All your NEGATIVE REVIEWS in Yelp and Google are complaining about your Evening Manager’s blatant disregard for treating your customers kindly and with courtesy because he is DOWNRIGHT RUDE AND UNFRIENDLY!

I came in past 10pm to pick up an order, not knowing that the lobby is closed off (the door was open) past a certain time. Well when I come in instead of a greeting I get a condescending interrogation and yelled at by the Evening Manager as to how long was I standing there because "You shouldn't be in here". I told him the door was open and I didn't know that orders were strictly drive thru only. He was very rude to someone who was giving their establishment a favor for delivering for them and the thanks we get is that we are treated very poorly and it was my first time there such awful customer service skills coming from a person identified as a Manager! I have never been so ashamed and offended at a McDonald's!

I pick up the order and explain to the other Employee that your manager is rude to someone giving their business a favor by delivering for them. I called their manager as being overtly RACIST to someone who is clearly asian minority and I thought this part of the Bay Area was sensitive to Asian Hate and if McDonald's does not address their total disregard to courtesy and even just a slither of customer - centric kindness then I hope that I can get in touch with Corporate affairs and have them properly advise this branch that their Evening manager does not have an ounce of customer service skills and is blatantly rude (although he has one too many ounces of extra packed weight and bad attitude).

I’m usually really nice with my reviews, but this location has consistently under delivered every single time for the last 4 years I went there. For starters they have given us the wrong order several times or have forgotten something, EVERY. Single. Time…. For seconds, I order curbside pickup, when I get there I see that the parking spots are taken, naturally I go through the drive thru to tell them my order number and explain that I went through the drive thru because all spots were taken, the lady then continues to argue with me that she cannot give me my order, and then switched the story to them not “having my order number”, after I physically had to show her that I in-fact ordered at this location and I have everything correct I was rudely told to park on the side and wait five minutes for a coffee that should’ve been given to me at the drive thru window (according to one of my friends that used to be a McDonald’s manager not long ago!). Just the other day I made the mistake of coming to this location again, I figured I’d give them another chance, I was wrong, I ordered two coffees with extra caramel drizzle (I paid for X2 caramel drizzle), after the lady gave us one drink with no caramel, we had to correct her that it has to have caramel, they told us to wait on the side, then they brought out the drinks, one drink barely had caramel (whatever) the second didn’t have any at all when I ordered x2, I had to go in there and tell them to remake the second drink, the staff needs serious training and this location needs an overall staff change, manager is rude on several occasions, and I am not the only customer experiencing this issue at this McDonald’s location according to several other reviews and several of my friends who occasionally get...

Honestly just one bad experience after another here. Not sure if anyone is managing the kids who work here, but on our most recent visit 4 meals were shoved into 2 bags, missing 2 Big Macs, and all of the nugget sauces, even though I had asked for extra when ordering, then confirmed with the person giving us our food at the window there were extras, only to open the bags and find none at all. I had a 20 piece nugget... no sauce. No ice in any of the drinks. I could go on and on...

It may be a fast food joint run by teenagers, but it was still a $40 dinner, and I'd rather spend my money somewhere else.

The garlic fries I bought at the Concord McDonald's on Clayton Road were definitely better than the ones I picked up in Lafayette, but service was exceptionally friendly at the Lafayette drive-thru. Jason at the food window was very nice - I had to wait a couple minutes for the 4 Large orders of garlic fries, and he kept my company with light conversation. I expected the fries to be super hot since they were obviously making them fresh, and they were, but they were not very crispy like at other locations. Maybe they rushed a little since I was holding up the drive thru line? Co-workers said the same thing: good flavor, but not crispy enough. The 4 orders of garlic fries ($13.52) plus extra buffalo sauce ($0.39) unsweetened tea ($1) and 10 piece nugget ($4.59) did make my car smell pretty good for the rest of the day though!
