Love this place. I lived in Israel for six years in my younger days and greatly miss Israeli food: Israeli ketchup, borekas, salads, malabi, etc. Bay Kosher is an absolute gem, with all the Israeli treats and essentials I remember. The frozen borekas are easy to heat up in the oven and taste fantastic. They have everything I could hope for, from Bamba, Bissli, and Krembo to my favorite Israeli salads like red cabbage salad, labneh, and baba ghanoush. They even stock all the Israeli hot sauces—red zhug, green zhug, amba—and a wide range of delicious kosher meats. Plus, they offer jachnun, malawach, and so many other Israeli staples.

The store itself is well-organized and clean, making shopping easy and enjoyable. The owner, Mendu, is an extremely nice guy who clearly cares about bringing authentic Israeli flavors to the community. I'm so happy I can introduce my children to these special flavors from my past. I'm delighted to have come across this store when I was visiting in Lafayette! They have delicious packaged food from Israel that I ate as a child and almost cried when I saw them in this store. Of course I bought so many things! And the owner is a mensch! Excellent quality and value, with accessories for Shabbat including beautiful natural beeswax Havdallah candles.Definitely worth making the trip to Lafayette again just to visit...
