Went there this morning for breakfast. The coffee was superb and the cinnamon muffin I had was absolutely delicious! Their coffee menu offers all the basics (drip, french press, latte, americano, etc) as well as some house specials. The staff was extremely friendly- and I came in at 7:30! Anyone that can be friendly and helpful at 7:30 in the morning is impressive in my book.
If you're looking for a place with a good "coffee house vibe" this place is great. It's got vaguely hipster decor that all good coffeehouses have-exposed brick, rustic repurposed decorations, Edison lightbulbs, vintage style stools at the coffee bar, the whole 9 yards. But there were also some interesting Christian touches- old pews that had been painted fun colors are used as seating at a few of the tables and Gothic revival pendant lights that look like they came out of an old church hang above the counter. It gave the place a touch of personality and saved it from being cliche.
It was also very quiet. I was there from 7:30 to 8:40 and there were only a few people in and out. If you're looking for a place that feels kind of like Greyhouse sans the bustle and crowding, this Sacred Grounds will do quite nicely!
It's bigger than it looks on the inside too. There's adequate seating for dozens of people, so don't be afraid to bring friends when you visit!
Parking was free, very close to the building, and easily accessible.
I'd highly recommend checking out this awesome local coffeehouse. I've been living in Lafayette for years and had never gone inside... but I'm glad I did and I'll...
Read moreThis place is impeccable! My boyfriend and I were just driving through and needed a spot to stop and use WiFi for work. We both got a vanilla latte which was absolutely amazing, it was buttery, flavorful and smooth. Quite honestly one of the best lattes I’ve had in a long time!! We also ordered food which was a 10/10! I ordered the veggie salad and added chicken which was so good! The veggies were fresh, avacado was perfectly ripe and the chicken was steaming and fresh. Also, can’t forget the cashews on top for a lovely added crunch. My boyfriend got the chicken, bacon, avacado and caramelized onion quesadilla which was absolutely delicious as well! On top of the amazing quality drinks and food the atmosphere was SO cute with many comfy couch corners to choose from along with tons of table seating. Lastly, the workers were extremely welcoming, fun to chat with and made the experience even better!! I’m so glad we made this a stop - you guys...
Read moreThis is a neat place in the Wabash Avenue area. It's in an old building that has been reclaimed (the full name of the place is Sacred Grounds Reclaimed) and the decor is made up of reclaimed furniture, old windows, etc. The coffee was excellent and I had a veggie egg scramble the first day and went back the next day and had a great muffin. The staff and customers are all friendly and welcoming. If I had been in town longer, I might have come out to hear some music and have another meal. I would have gone back for a third time but they are closed...
