Management has been rude to people seeking to better the community. One older friend of mine who has been a pillar in the community for decades was asked to leave simply because he complained about seeing mice in the building. Now, I've been asked to leave via email from Jason Tennenhouse (Executive Director) without any reason, when I all I do there is work hard to support people with substance use disorders and mental health issues in their recovery. Funny enough, years ago, when Jason's daughter was good friends with my daughter in a Christian preschool in West Lafayette, Jason asked me how to help young people with reading and emotional health. I shared with him some cutting edge ideas about reading motivation and literacy development. He later reported that he used those ideas in collaborating with a charity that helped improve literacy outcomes for youth. I purchased a day pass because I was traveling and needed to work remotely somewhere with good wifi, as my job requires me to remote in to a virtual machine. Matchbox wifi was EXTREMELY fast which was awesome. The copper moon coffee is great. However, the biggest reason for my 3-star review is that working from Matchbox is really not easy if you have a job where you need to be on calls or collaborate with others frequently. There are not many enclosed rooms, and those are not available to day pass users. There was music playing in the common area, quite loudly. I think even first-come, first-serve quiet rooms with doors would be a big improvement. It just wasn’t very easy to comfortably take calls. I wouldn’t recommend it for a day pass or travelers needing a spot to work in a pinch. Definitely seems more geared towards locals who need socialization… but not with the people they actually do...

I can't recommend this place enough. I've been working out of MatchBOX for five years and I think it's essential for anyone in working outside of a typical office situation. You're able to get the productive vibes of an office without the pressure of having to know everyone. There's free coffee and snacks when your energy is low and a maker space included in membership if you need to physically put things together.
