Had to sit in here for 30 min to put this together. I changed it to five stars because just like the tip these guys deserve a great service score. *READ Management/Ownership IT WOULD BE 5stars but I feel terrible going to a place that you can't leave a gratuity on your debit card. CALL THE POS COMPANY AND LOOKOUT FOR YOUR PEOPLE. I do not come here often because I tip. I HATE HATE HATE stopping to get cash to take care of these service employees. Please call the POS company and add it. Comes with no cost. Boulder Santiagos does it. Here is why you do it. Tipping creates a great atmosphere. Currently EVERYONE who tips stands there feeling soooooooo awkward waiting for their food. Everyone would write in $1 minimum. As I sit here I see 12 transactions. That's $12+, I would imagine 200 transactions a day so that's $200 extra money to better your operation. Make them share daily based on hours worked. Something. If an extra $200 day x 30 =$6,000 a month flows through your restaurant things will only grow. You are leaving money on the table and the guy that goes here at 5 AM to wash dishes doesn't deserve to suffer because you think people don't want to tip. What I believe: Someone doesn't want to keep tax track record/divisive the tips appropriately and do the legwork necessary. Call me, in the restaurant business for 22 years. I will come in and use your templates to record needed i info for payroll etc. Matt 3o3-819-3ninesixthree Ps I changed it to a 5-star before I posted because your guys deserve that and all the blessings they could have. Until you add the debit tip line I won't come back anymore. I like owners that put their people I. The BEST...
Read moreTried to charge $24 to my card on a $15 order and was shocked when my company's card was declined (taxes are not 50%) I was rudely told to "hurry up and fix it" because this was the third time with the company that I work for that this had happened. I told him I understood his frustration but I didn't create the technology - he responded with "hurry up the people behind you need to order and can't without you." I told him to please let them order while I was on the phone with my boss and credit card company - he said he wasn't going to void it because "I want to take care of this first" i.e. He was willing to humiliate me, let everyone wait for 10+ minutes, just in spite of my company, just to escalate the situation and argue further, so I called him out on it and said is "are you really going to make everyone wait on me just to be an a**hole?" He said I'll take care of them don't you worry, he voided it AFTER I made a scene and the customers overheard. Then proceeded to curse me out in Spanish with his kitchen crew thinking I couldn't understand what they were saying. Other than that, the food was dry, crusty and cold, the inside smells like a rotting corpse (probably because of their attitudes). Should have just gone to Picas... PS. My card was fine. My company gives us the exact amount for specific purchases, tax and all. I don't know if you were trying to steal that extra $8 or you just tried to charge me for another person's meal - but either way the way that POS acted, was unacceptable. I've never been treated so poorly by someone who works in...
Read moreThe location is easy. It's close to my house and it got such rave reviews I thought I'd try it this afternoon. It's a cute location too, located right on the main strip. Their prices astronomically low, too, which at the time I thought was good. This should have been my first clue, however.
First of all, the staff was rude. Not over the top in my face kind of rude, but they were far from friendly and the guy made a huff about getting me a water. Later on in the meal, I approached the counter for something and watched for literally 5 minutes as the staff cleaned the kitchen, each of them looking over at me and then going back to their work as if I was someone else's problem.
And the food. Jesus, if you can make a more generic plate of mexican food from cheaper ingredients, I will applaud you. Their green chile was decent, and extremely hot. They didn't lie about that. Otherwise, I've had more authentic mexican food at Taco Bell... Apparently their low prices don't allow them to buy decent ingredients or pay decent staff wages. Really, though, I blame myself. This should have been obvious looking...
