Leaving this review solely on a bad service experience we had here. We came to play some cards and enjoy the atmosphere. We decided to sit at a two person table on the patio. When we sat down there was a couple ladies and a baby sitting at the table next to us but they left shortly after we got there. We sat for about 20 mins playing cards, don’t get me wrong the atmosphere at this place was wonderful and we were talking about bringing our family from out of down here on their next visit since they love wine and would love to experience this place, and we talked about getting together with friends here since it’s next to a cute coffee shop. A man who may have been the owner came up to us and asked us if we wanted any wine, my husband is an ex alcoholic, so we declined, even though I do live wine I do not drink around him in support of his sobriety. Then he said that he had a large party of people who reserved the table, and indicated to the party of people at a larger table on the lawn but they did not at all seem interested in or like they were needing our table. Also there was those two ladies sitting next to us when we first got there so if our table was reserved for the party why wasn’t theirs? Probably because they bought something and we didn’t. If a table is reserved for a party it would be nice if there was a reserved sign on it. My husband asked him if he was asking us to leave and he did confirm he wanted us to move over to the tables on the coffee shop side (there were no outside tables available), which essentially sent the message either buy something or get out. This was an extremely disappointing situation because there was so many better ways to handle this situation. I completely understand needing tables for paying customers, and if there were paying customers who needed our table we would have happily moved when asked, but there was not, so there should have been no problem with us sitting there until someone actually needed the table. This interaction was hurtful to us because we literally felt like we got kicked out and it was very embarrassing to be asked to leave when we didn’t do anything wrong. Because of this interaction I don’t know if we will be back. I hope this review can bring awareness to this business that even though a customer might not be a paying customer today, doesn’t mean they wouldn’t be one in the future and bad interactions can deter people from coming back, and bringing other people. I hope no one else should have to experience the embarrassment...
Read moreSeems like the owner is only nice to wine buyers and doesn’t want coffee shop customers in his space. I didn’t realize the winery opened at 2pm and had been enjoying the outside for a few minutes after I finished the daily ohm and cinnamon roll I bought. I was approached by the owner if I wanted wine and I said not right now but thank you. A few minutes later I was questioned if I had coffee and I said I had just finished it. The owner then stated I could not be there on my laptop unless I had a wine or a coffee. Now I know to keep my dishes with me. This interaction killed the interest I had in trying out their wine. There was still plenty of seating around so it wasn’t like I was getting in the way of...
Read moreHosted my mom's 80th birthday party here. It was fantastic. Greg and his wife went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. The atmosphere was just right. We had 40ish people and it never felt crowded or like we were on top of each other. Price was very reasonable and they bought back the wine we didn't finish. It really was the perfect place for medium sized gathering like this. I couldn't...
