I stopped here after church just to check it out today Sunday 09/15/25.
Pros: I walked in and sat at the bar and Hannah was very nice, very busy employee. She made me ice water and lemon and was busting her butt cleaning, stocking, serving people. She recommended a decent dish and I ordered some sliders as an appetizer. She also honored my military discount and had brief friendly conversations.
Avrie/Avery/Avereigh/Avari lol was sweet and right along with hannah cleaning and helping people very friendly woman very pretty ❤️ I thought she was Hispanic and was speaking Spanish lol
Cons:
There was a drunk lady beside me as soon as I sat down I immediately knew she was hitting on me, she was friendly so I just appreciated her compliments and advances and I think I had a religious moment with her lol at one point she put her hand on my chest and we prayed at the bar ( she was pretty nice though).
The sliders were a little red on the inside but I'm not a sissy I eat a steak medium rare so I didn't mention it but I'm sure some Karen might in the future.
The fish tacos were good but dry. Fries were good.
There was 2 women there to my left 1 at the bar, 1 at a table and they kept smiling at me and they had boyfriends/ husbands...1 waited until her husband was watching the game and was checking me out, I caught her 3 times. I just ignored the advances being that I'm sober after church in a sports bar I didn't expect much else.
The overall price was decent but I don't know if it outweighs the serving size being lack luster. I'm the type of person that eats 1 meal a day and I ordered an appetizer and an entree that didn't seem to hit the spot. You get 2 tacos and fries and just 3 sliders for nearly 30 bucks...it felt like a kids menu honestly no disrespect. I ate both plates in like under 7 minutes and I had to stop on the way home because I was still hungry.
None of the cons had anything to do with the service, those things are corporate issues and inevitable things you run into in a bar atmosphere.
Avery was sweet and Hannah was great so I'd make another round to see her pretty face but if I was dead set on just going somewhere to eat I'd have to pass. You could buy 2 Chinese buffets on 2 seperate days for the price that it cost me to leave happy but still hungry today.
Great service, probably gonna have to work on portions unless you're just more focused on alcohol sells, it's Louisiana man people like to eat. Overall I'd give it a 4 star review but 3 and a half of those stars is probably because I think Averie...
Read moreWas pleasantly surprised to be seated immediately on a busy Friday night. My wife ordered an appetizer to start our date night before I even found her in the restaurant. Server was nice and attentive until we ordered entrees. My wife's entree arrived first before the appetizer we had ordered 20 minutes earlier. We decided then we would just have them remove it from the bill, busy Friday night things happen, no harm no foul. Then the appetizer arrives and is cover red pepper flakes making it way spicer than it should have been. We put to the side, no worries the server who brought my wife's entree and my side order said mine would be right out. 5 minutes later my wife begins to eat her entree and I have finished my side order as we are both hungry and her food is getting cold. 10 more minutes later I decide my entree when it arrives will go back as I'm now angry. Waitress is also MIA at this point. 10 more minutes my wide is done, the appetizer we couldn't eat is gone and I still have no food and no waitress we grab the next waitress we see and ask her for our check. Our waitress appears and my wallet and credit card are already on the table as all I want at this point is to leave and get home so I too can eat. She asks about my entree and notices I have no plates in front me. She sincerely apologies and explains they have had problems all night, I nod and smile and she leaves to take the food we didn't get and couldn't eat off the check. She returns with the updated check and a gift certificate equal to slightly more than my meal I never received. She continues to apologize and offers to get a manager which we decline because , I'm made because I'm hungry and wasn't served any food I ordered. A manager happens by as we attempt to leave and apologies after hearing what happened and offers to go get another manager which we decline. In total over 1.5 hours for 1 of 2 entrees a side order and food we couldn't eat or didn't get. Everyone was nice, but I still haven't eaten as I type this and my wife and I are now home from our "Date Night" where I received no food. Service was nice when around though. Been a customer of Walk On's other locations for years, doubt I will ever return of my own free will to the Zachary location and probably won't make any other location a first choice either. I've already given the gift certificate away to another...
Read moreLoud, not the cleanest place in town, a bit pricey. I visited this place two times in a month and these are the observations. First visit was a Sunday with 8 people and we sat inside the main dining room. A few weeks later was the second time, a Friday, we were a party of 5 that sat at the outdoor bar area. This is the area that can be closed or open. This day it happened to be closed off due to rainy weather.
The atmosphere. When you first walk in you are greeted by the hostess. It is kinda loud in there because of the acoustics, the other people talking, etc. The first time we went you could forget about holding one conversation unless yall wanna talk louder than normal to each other. The second time was much more manageable since we sat by the outside bar area.
The tables. Both times we went, the tables had to be re-wiped because they were gross. The second time we went the tables were still sticky and really bad even after the second wipe down. A simple table cloth or refinishing or something needs to be done to those tables.
Quality of food was the same both times. The prices were the same. The portions were immensely different. The second time we went the portions were half the size than the first time for the pasta dish we ordered about 3 weeks before. Consistency in portions is off... or at least was off one of those two experiences. Now I dont know which day was the right size. If the smaller size was the correct size, I find this place is quite expensive for the portion size you get for the money. The overall taste if the food was good though, just disppointed in the consistancy factor.
I have eaten this place for take out a few times and all of those times I find the price that you pay for the portions you get is not worth it...
