We dined at this establishment Saturday 20, 2019. I must say it was one of the most disappointing meals I have experienced in a long time. The restaurant has wonderful photos of their food and delightful descriptions on their menu, but the product served falls well short of the expectations. First the Royal Reds. The product (Shrimp) are a great shrimp. The preparation is disgusting. A restaurant that would serve a shrimp of this size with an intact digestive track fails its customers. Removing the track and improving eye appeal of the plate would be a better service to the customer. The Redfish Orleans, serving good food means making sure your product is as advertised. The sauce was pathetic. The pile of tasteless crab on top was bland. The sauce was just an oily bitter liquid that ruined the a fine Redfish fillet. My wifeโs meal was a fillet of fish I forget the menu item, but it was covered in a cream sauce with shrimp and shavings of cheese. The sauce was a butter base with terrible seasoning. It was like they partially melted the butter and just poured it over the fillet. It was apparent the chef was not concerned about the product he was serving. Another thing that probably should have been a dead give away, is there were only 5 tables seated in the restaurant including ours. Never saw a manager. Service was good by waiter. Will...
ย ย ย Read moreMy husband and I visited this restaurant last night. I ordered the seafood gumbo cup - rice was hard - not fresh. the gumbo was very thick with a couple of gray colored crawfish and 1 or 2 small canned shrimp from like you get in the canned tuna aisle at the grocery store. I ordered Seafood Stuffed Portabellas -Grilled portabella mushrooms stuffed with crabmeat, Gulf shrimp, minced chipotle peppers, roasted red peppers and spinach. Served with lemon aioli - The plate came out very bare. There were three mushrooms with a paste like substance on top. There NO signs of crabmeat or shrimp of any kind in the paste.
My husband ordered the Snapper AuGratin which was supposed to have Jumbo Lump Crabmeat, Gulf Shrimp and five kinds of cheeses. He was served a bare plate with a small thin piece of fish that seemed to be talapia. The topping has NO signs of Jumbo Lump Crabmeat or Shrimp. It has a pudding like consistency which was salty, but NO five cheeses.
Very disappointed. Our waitress Kacey (sp?) was the best! We tipped well regardless. She gave us free deserts. The manager was not able to remove anything from the bill, for which we did not ask for additional...

The menu was very much southern Louisiana, and I appreciated the menu because many of the items were reminiscent of my childhood.
We ordered shrimp and grits, which were delicious. They were a perfect consistency. We also ordered seafood pasta, which had a ton of seafood and was very tasty. The ingredients were well balanced and not overpowering.
We had charbroiled oysters and Voodoo shrimp for starters, and they were yummy! I would say the Voodoo shrimp are a strong competitor or Bonefish Grill's Bang Bang Shrimp.
I would be remiss if I didn't mention that we did have an issue with the timeliness of our wait staff to greet us and take our drinks, but the manager on duty, Amber, addressed the situation, accepted culpability, and comped our starters. The server, Mason, was personable and courteous and expeditious for the duration of our experience.
I appreciate the action taken by the manager and, as a result, we will return with more...
