Second Visit: Came by again for lunch and got the gyro on naan and the greek salad, both were excellent. The owner allowed us to sit inside since we had come from out of town. Service and food was great. Definitely recommended.
First Visit: Came to 505 for lunch and I definitely recommending this place if you are stopping by LaGrange. The interior was undergoing reservations since they were expanding, but looked pretty interesting with wood grain walls. The format of service was ordering at a counter and then sitting down for your food to be brought to the table. There were three workers including the owner and it seemed like we came in during a rush and they were a bit overwhelmed by the six or so orders that came in. It felt understaffed, but I could tell the owner had a handle on things and was working hard to help both the front and the cook.
I had the small Beet salad and a Rueben. The salad was great with a decent portion for the $5 and the rueben was tasty. The sandwich was hot and tasted exactly how I'd expect for a rueben. The chips were a little bland. It looks like they were homemade, but weren't salted enough so it was...
Read moreI've lived in the LaGrange area for a little over a year now. I've been looking for a place with a good quality hamburger and couldn't find one. There's literally nothing - no Five Guy's, no Culver's, no Red Robin, etc. I had been 505 Eats one time before and tried their BLT. It was really good.
However, this time I tried their double cheeseburger and added bacon to it. Man, was it good! This is DEFINITELY the BEST BURGER in LaGrange! The burger was juicy, flavorful and cooked perfectly. It had fresh lettuce, tomatoes and red onions on it. Of course, it had ketchup and mayo. The cheese was crunchy (fantastic that way) and it was on a brioche bun.
I'll definitely be coming back to order this again! The fries were pretty good (would be better fresh cut). I also got a homemade chocolate cookie which was really good. The lady up front was really friendly and helpful. To top it off, they had really fast and free wifi...
Read moreThis place is a gem, I’ve done take out and dine in here for lunch and dinner and had nothing but great experiences. The food is phenomenal and the standout dish for me is the veggie cheeseburger. Absolutely one of the best veggie burgers I’ve had in the area, very filling and stays together well. I’ve had 3-4 other non-vegetarian meals from here and they’ve all been really good. In a market saturated with bland mediocre food, 505 Eats truly stands out, each meal I’ve had there seemed well thought out and crafted. The dining area is very relaxed and low key, very clean with good seating availability. The staff are very friendly and the place has a great mood. Price is around $15-$20 a person and in my opinion is totally fair for the quality and taste of the food....
