Wine Gallery — Restaurant in Laguna Beach

The Wine Gallery used to be one of my favorite restaurants in Laguna Beach. But the last two times we visited, were very disappointing. The first time was a week ago, when we ordered one of my favorite salads in town. Only to find the Arugula salad had shrunk in size by 50%.

We decided to try again tonight. We ordered the charcuterie meat and cheese plate and the meatball entrees. The charcuterie plate, described in the menu as fine cheeses and meats curated by the chef was beyond disappointing. $17.00 dollars for 3 pieces of salami and a small chunk of Parmesan cheese with the thick rind on. Super cool and cozy place to grab a bite to eat and a nice drink in Laguna. I love the atmosphere for both the inside and outside seating. The selection of wines is great (lots of good ones to choose from) and the menu has lots of tasty offerings, all of which pair well with whatever drink you choose. The staff always have great suggestions if you don't know what to go with. The Margherita pizza is always a good choice, but the spaghetti and meatballs is great too! Met some new girlfriends. Had a fab time at the wine gallery. Amazing staff service and atmosphere. Owners are pretty amazing. The quaint atmosphere is like from the show "Cheers" feels very homey cozy and like everyone knows your name. The owner suggested a bottle noir. I've never had a noir that smooth...and without a hang over the next day. And then the food is off the charts. I literally ate till my stomach was going to explode.
