Bluebird Park has so much for kids to do and explore. The main draw is the chance to play in a rocket shaped playground. There is also a lot of other equipment to climb on too. One area had a couple of tunnels to go through, and climb on top of. Another area had a smaller playground designed for younger kids. There are also a couple of really cool slides built on the hillside, though one is metal, so you might want to test it out first before hitting that one. There is an art feature of a turtle made with mosaic tiles. It is really colorful, and interesting for the kids. Something that had me a little on edge is that there are a lot of different areas kids can run off to, so keeping an eye on everyone might be tricky. Especially if they are older and younger. Having said that, there is a gate, and the area felt secure. My kids enjoyed it, and have already been bugging me to take them back with other friends, and relatives. I’m looking forward to another peaceful adventure at Bluebird Park where imagination can take control of our...

The bluebird Park is just nestled in the canyons as you wind through the roads heading up towards the Top of the World, so they call it! But on the way up beware as those thin roads are as Fun as any challenge. Go slow and enjoy but make sure you stop by Bluebird Park where you can hear kids all the time just having a ball. I can't wait for the summer concerts in the park.

The only reason I didn't give it five stars is that you can't take your pet there, however there's a lot of kids, plus plenty of Laguna Beach to go around for my doggie elsewhere.

I've posted some shots looking down from the canyon and some...

I think this place is the garden of Eden. Perhaps the reason it’s so serene is the cheapest house for sale is in the area is 2.85 million as of this posting. The rocket ship structure is amazing and then the smaller play structure with sand and swings is perfect for younger kids. Two different types of slides exist further down and are really fun. The plants and trees are spectacular. The neighbors have lemon trees with lots of lemons. There’s a small walking path and a decent sized grassy area. The bathrooms are decent, too. If you have small kids, this place is a must if you are...

7 Kid Friendly Spots in Laguna Beach!! 🏖️ 1. Heisler Park: A beautiful walk for all ages with breathtaking ocean views. Stroller friendly with restrooms, you can’t go wrong with this spot! 2. Main Beach Playground: A great opportunity for your kids to pretend they are lifeguards saving the day! 3. Aliso Beach Playground: A bit south from main beach, this beach & playground has parking lots on both sides of the 1. You can cross easily through a tunnel. I have heard the waves are more fierce here. 4. Bluebird Park: An old school playground with a BIG spaceship. Gated with a nice little trail for bikes and scooters. 5. Fairy Garden! 🧚‍♀️ Right next to the library entrance. Do the scavenger hunt posted in the garden and send the fairies some mail! 6. Laguna Beach Library: Small but cute kids area with lots of toys and games. 7. Alta Laguna Park: Next to the “Top of the World” hike, this park has unbeatable views. It can get hot up here - go on a mild day. #ocparentguide #visitcalifornia #visitorangecounty #lagunabeach #travelwithkids #ocparents #ocmoms #ocmomblog #orangecounty #california #californialove #californiadreaming #beachlife #travel #explorepage #explore

Now that our kids are getting (a little) older, we’ve enjoyed using weekends as an opportunity to turn small outings into big adventures. This is part of the reason why I’ve been toying with the idea of doing a weekly “big adventure” newsletter. But until that day comes, I’ll give you a smaller version here! This week’s adventure is in Laguna Beach. It includes: 🚀 Bluebird Park (spaceship park) 🌮 Late lunch at South of Nick’s (or some other downtown cafe/restaurant) 🏝 Water play at main beach, which also has its own lifeguard themed playground Some additional playground info: This is a LARGE playground, but it is also gated. There are winding paths which are great for scooters and trikes. Street parking only, but we have been here 3-4 times and never had issues. There are restrooms up some stairs by the Boys and Girls Club. There are some cool slides built into the wall, but please be aware of a parking lot nearby at the top of the slides. Two spots have swings, and there are 2 baby swings. For downtown: Parking is tricky, but there is a public garage - search “Glenneyre Structure” using Google Maps. On Saturday mornings, there is also a Farmers Market downtown, and of course the public library is always a convenient stop if you need to switch out your books from the OC Library system. For Main Beach Playground: You can reach this off of Laguna Ave. There are public restrooms nearby. Now that summer is coming, there are more and more good days to be at the beach. I hope you can do this adventure soon with your family! #ocparentguide #ocparents #ocmoms #ocfamilies #ockids #lagunabeach #playground
