Very Nice place to have a great weekend, it is about 1.5 hour drive from LA, the weather is a bit warmer than Santa Monica in winter and spring, you can an find great restaurants there that have ocean views, just relax there for a night, there are lots of choices to stay for a night as hotel, inn, Airbnb, resorts, recommend just drive early in the morning if you are from LA and stay by evening to see sunset.
