Reborn Coffee — Restaurant in Laguna Woods

I recently visited a wonderful coffee shop with the intention of grabbing a refreshing cold brew to go. The store itself exuded a pleasant ambiance, characterized by its cleanliness and inviting atmosphere. The coffee, needless to say, lived up to my expectations, boasting an excellent taste that delighted my taste buds.

However, I must admit that my experience took a slight downturn when I decided to utilize the restroom facilities. It came as quite a surprise to me that the restroom wasn't maintained with the same level of care as the rest of the establishment. Unfortunately, the condition of the toilet was far from satisfactory, and this unexpected lack of cleanliness had a negative impact on my overall impression. It's safe to say that it dampened my appetite and left me somewhat disheartened.

I did notice that there were two young employees present during my visit, which led me to believe that the coffee shop has a dedicated team. Nonetheless, I strongly feel that the owner needs to give equal attention to maintaining the entire store, including its facilities, to ensure that the overall customer experience remains...

Reborn Coffee, Laguna Woods is our (Merlin and Me) thanks regular spot for all things needing crafted barista services. Folks, there are coffee shops and then there is Reborn (it’s not the commercialized Starbucks or Peets) and they’re not your general coffee house…Reborn has amazing deep rich tones just like your favorite European blends, the international flavors offered here are to be savored and enjoyed. Now, let’s move on to the staff; the Reborn team we love them all, but special shoutouts to Alex, Pllar, Philip, Claire, Trisha and Tyler! This team makes our day everyday, great friendly and knowledgeable. They really reach out to know their customers, learn their names, their favorite drinks and how they like them to be crafted, and they really get to know the people. For anyone who remembers the tv series “Cheers” this is the Closest experience I can visualize. And finally there is the ambience, Reborn is leaning more modern, simplistic and the influence appears to be more minimalist, but...

I'm a very selective coffee drinker and I prefer coffee specialist/roaster over Starbucks. This place is somewhat higher in price than the roasters I go to (bodhi leaf or Portola) yet barista at this place aren't well trained like other coffee specialist. Iced latte was not smooth and hot latte was scorching hot (I don’t think the barista was using thermometer) that I couldn't hold the cup even with sleeve on the cup. Pastries are much smaller than other coffee shop with higher price attached to them. My scorching hot latte and two pasties for my grand children came to $16+tip.

Service: Like others says they are little slow.. this may be the reason they boil milk for latte too high. When I ordered cinnamon roll they didn't give me a folk until I asked. When you are overpriced coffeeshop you need to have impeccable service to justify the price.
