I really liked shopping here. This is a place that was very similar to Trader Joe's but beat its sister company in price both consistently and significantly. The stores have a unique supply of really well priced items and carry name brand as well as off brand products from groceries to common consumer goods like paper towels, plates and a plethora of seasonal and gift items. They sell wine and beer and most of the groceries are discounted to much lower prices than the chain grocery stores. On my last trip, just yesterday, I noticed the quality of products has gone down significantly, at least at the location I went to which was disappointing. Aldi went from that Boutique Market and Trader Joe's feel, to the Big Lots and Dollar Tree feel. The quality of produce, the freshness of the bread and the color and cut of their meats and cheeses smacked of 2nd tier discount store. I loved the high quality, low prices of the past but like almost everything else from consumer goods to low risk, high yield investments, those days have passed. I hope this only applies to my local store. Check the dates, labels and don't forget to bring a quarter to get access to a...
Read moreI came into Aldi the other day to get a few items and I was having some major trouble finding exactly what I needed. An employee named Ryan saw I was having some difficulty and asked if he could help me with anything. He proceeded to help me find not only a few things I was looking for, but everything!
Now usually when I shop, this is not the case. The store employee will usually help point me in the direction of something. Ryan actually took his time to walk me around the store to get the items I needed instead of just telling me where things were. This is outstanding and exceptional service. I asked Ryan what his position was, and he let me know he is an Assistant Manager. I am glad Aldi has put him in a position to be at this higher employment status.
I must commend Ryan for his knowledge and willingness to help me find the items I needed. I wish to be recognized by the managers of Aldi and would recommend him to either receive a raise or a promotion.
Stores need people like Ryan, employees like him really make a difference....
Read moreWhen it comes to saving money on groceries you can’t beat Aldi’s. I always thought big name items were the best but Aldi’s surprised me. After buying many of their name brand products, I found that Aldi’s products are the same as name brands and sometimes better. Have you tried their pineapple jalapeño dip? Or their sweet chili mango dip? Aldi’s is great for healthy snacks, weekend, charcuterie, reasonably priced meats, fresh vegetables, fruits, and frozen foods. But don’t go to Aldi expecting those named brand items that you usually shop for. Aldi’s is a grocery experience and one that will keep you coming back for their low prices. This is also not a grocery store that sells discounted or day old items. They only sell the Aldi’s brand and a few other brands. Be sure to bring a quarter with you because you won’t find Aldi’s grocery carts sitting along the road because you insert a quarter to use a cart and you retrieve your quarter back when...
