Laguna Cafe — Restaurant in Laguna Woods

I brought my mother to this little cafe for breakfast to spend time with her before taking her to her salon appointment next door. We were blown away by the amazing friendly service. The owner Tammy and her friend Cathy greeted us like we're long lost family. They went above and beyond to make our experience memorable. From the warm greetings to helpful recommendations, every moment was delightful. The atmosphere was welcoming, and the genuine smiles from them. Our server Linda was also super helpful and sweet added to the overall. To top it off one of their regulars picked up our tab without us knowing. They left before we knew so we didn't get to thank them but apparently this kind of things happens here a lot. It's a part of the positive vibe they got going here and it starts with the ownership of Ouse. Wow! Our morning dining experience at Laguna Cafe was so amazing. From the moment we walked into this quaint diner, we were warmly greeted by the most friendly and lively staff member. We ate their delicious breakfast of home-style and portions plenty. The atmosphere is heavily “plastered” with interesting military nostalgia and history, among a variety of other memorabilia. There were many “regular” diners at the time we went there who were spoken to by name by the staff. This tells you there’s apparent repeat diners, so this pretty much tells ya there’s good reason why they're eating here. Laguna Cafe is a small little diamond tucked in an unassuming strip mall in Laguna Woods. It is always full of locals and the food is delicious. I've never had anything I didn't like. Meatloaf Wed is great too for those who like meatloaf with real mashed potatoes. The small staff is amazing! They are always very friendly and lovingly welcome everyone when entering. It has a small dining room that can be a bit crowded and loud, at times but still enjoyable. Their are single tables as well as a large, shared, family style dining table. It always feels a little like home when you go to Laguna Cafe. They also honor past military members with walls full of photos and vintage airplanes hanging from the ceiling.
