I don’t usually write reviews, but the experience at this Chipotle has become so frustrating I feel compelled to say something. The portion sizes here are absolutely ridiculous — especially considering the price they charge. I’ve ordered double meat many times, and it’s a gamble every time. Some employees give you actual double meat (thank you to the rare few who do), while others slap on a single scoop and act like that counts. The inconsistency is so bad it’s almost laughable.
You can tell who gave the right portion just by whether they can actually wrap the burrito — because when it's wrapped with a struggle, you know you're getting your money’s worth. When it’s folded like a delicate little envelope with ease, you know you got scammed.
On top of that, the atmosphere is just depressing. The staff look like they’d rather be anywhere else, and it shows in the way they interact with customers. There’s no energy, no care, and zero attention to detail. It feels more like a chore than a service. I get that fast food isn’t glamorous, but at least pretend to care for the 60 seconds I’m in front of you.
At this point, I’m seriously considering driving further just to go to another location. This one has lost my trust, and unless the management steps in and fixes the portion issues (and maybe boosts morale a little), I won’t be...
Read moreWorst. Location. Ever. I work a few miles south and when I work a double, I like to order chipotle to pick up. Probably just gonna go the few extra miles to Libertyville or Vernon Hills. Last straw was last week. Ordered a bowl to be ready at 2 o'clock. Showed up at 2 sharp and nothing on the shelf. The to go employee was working on a burrito. She then asked if i had 2 orders (coworker asked for chips & salsa after i already submitted my order). I confirmed. She then rolled her eyes and realized she prepared me a burrito when I ordered a bowl. I've been working on reducing my carb/calorie intake and told her I really didn't want a tortilla. Thinking she'd simply remake the order, she opened the burrito and dumped what came off into a bowl, crumpling the tortilla and half of its contents and throwing it into the trash. Ended up with the most pathetic bowl I've ever seen (pictured).
Previous screw ups include: Adding 6 small pieces of brisket when I ordered a brisket bowl. Adding ZERO meat to a Chorizo bowl. Skipping Guac requests. Countless late orders well past promised times.
My in-app complaint went ignored.
Yeah, I'll try for the other locations from now on.
Just an update, the robo response link...
Read moreI walked in for a burrito bowl. There was a long line of customers, it was a Friday night. I understand. I was patient, but when they started my bowl and left it with just the chicken and rice standing there for a few minutes because the online orders were more important, I got a little frustrated. Then they made 2 more orders halfway for customers standing. The line got longer. They continued to ignore our orders due to the online ones coming in. The cashier took my unfinished bowl and asked if it's done. I said no. So I asked for guacamole. They said sorry, it's unavailable and only for online orders and put a lid on mine without asking me if I wanted anything else. Then they left again. So after my patience ran out, I walked out. Terrible service. I now know to never visit in person. Whenever I ordered online the food was fine. I guess they care more about online than actual customers wasting...
