I seldom leave reviews. This place earned it
We went through the drive through, ordered 3 sandwiches, two small soups, and one small and one full salad, $72. They took payment, didn't give us a receipt, and asked us to pull forward. After several minutes at the end of the drive through, another car was coming out so we pulled into a parking spot. 25 MINUTES LATER with several customers who came after us getting their orders and leaving, still no food so one of us went inside to ask about it.
The person at the counter said sorry they are still putting it together. But they were taking other orders in the restaurant and doing those first and just doing ours one piece at a time in-between. Ten minutes later (35 MINUTES TOTAL) we finally got our food, or so we thought. As we're about to drive away we realize they gave us a chicken salad sandwich instead of a tuna sandwich, so I had to go in to get it fixed. I told them the rest of the sandwich was fine, but just make it with tuna. They did take care of it right away but the person who seemed to be in charge kept asking me what to put on it, since the sandwich wasn't for me I kept having to repeat to do what is on the one they made before, but he kept going on and on about the different cheese options and wanting me to choose. It was frustrating.
When we finally got back in the car and drove away we also realized they didn't give us any napkins, or forks for the salads, only one small salad dressing for the two salads, and even through they did put on the receipt (which we finally got with the food) no hummus on the salad, they put hummus on it anyway, several pieces of the lettuce in it were turning pink or brown, and there were a couple of avocado chunks that were brown.
This was our first and last experience with Potbelly. The food that came correct was just ok, and while the woman who handed me the remade sandwich quietly apologized and gave us a free cookie, which was nice, there's nothing about the experience to entice us to return. After we left we looked at the reviews (mistake to not start there) and it's not an unusual experience. Seems like the management and...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreLong-time Potbelly customer here, but I'm very disappointed in the one closest to my house and office! They are always light on the meat, and have given me the wrong sandwich on numerous occasions. I understand mistakes happen, but they've had some big mistakes that aren't acceptable. First big mistake was my Tuna sandwich that came without the Tuna (Chris the manager gave me coupons for free sandwiches). Second big mistake happened when they forgot a sandwich (again Chris gave me coupons). Now I avoid the drive-thru and watch them make my sandwich... Today I ordered a Chicken Salad sandwich, and the guy behind the counter pulled it out of the oven, cut it, wrapped it up and handed the "sandwich" to me with just melted cheese (after he said something about Chicken Salad?). I asked him what it was, then his co-worker said it wasn't a bread side to go with my salad order, but that it was supposed to be a "Chicken Salad sandwich." He re-made it, but put almost no ingredients on it, and didn't seem to care as I watched him make it. The chips were more filling than the sandwich. I think I'm done with...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI normally get my lunch from this store at least 2x/week. I always get it through the drive-thru. Last week I ordered my sandwich with an iced tea. A younger African American girl took my order. When I received my food, I asked her for sugar. She appeared annoyed by the request but went and got me some packets of Equal (not what I asked for). Yesterday, 6/8/20, I ordered the same thing and the same person took my order. When she brought me my food I again asked for sugar. She got annoyed and said "we don't have any." I suspected she was not telling the truth so I took the time to park and walk into the store and found three bowls. One filled with sugar packets and 2 filled with sweeteners. This shop needs to improve their customer service to...
