Golden Chick — Restaurant in Lake Charles

I was out riding looking for something to eat when I saw Golden Chicks open sign. I had never been before so I didn't know the hours of operation. When I got to the drive thru, I realized they closed at 11:00pm. It was 10:54pm when I arrived. Even though I arrived right before closing, I was given fresh food. The lady at the drive thru was so cheerful and professional. I was asked to pull forward while they prepared my food. The guy who was working that night was so nice when he brought my food and even gave me some extra rolls. He apologized for the wait, but no apology was needed. I will never mind waiting five minutes for fresh food. I ordered the spicy tender combo. The tenders were so good and juicy. The sides were amazing. Everything was good. I loved it so much, I went back the next day (06/18/2025) after work around 5:30pm. This time, I was truly blown away by Alesha's professionalism and positive attitude at the drive thru. I had gone in thinking that I was going to get a $60 gift card and also buy myself something to eat. When I asked for a gift card, they said they didn’t have them, and they weren’t really concerned about helping me with it, so I just ordered myself something to eat. I had asked for a Diet Coke and a meal, and they gave me the cup.. however, when I went to get the Diet Coke, they didn’t have any. I went to tell them that they didn’t have Diet Coke and that I wanted my money back for that drink. Instead of giving me my money back, they just told me I just had to go pick out something else. This really got me mad because I just wanted my money back for the drink. After a while, one of the employees said that they’d have the gift card by the end of the day, but later one of the employees said no that I wouldn’t be able to get the gift card until tomorrow if they came in. My first experience at the Golden Chick on Ryan Street.. May 3, 2025.. I walked in and was greeted by a lady named Ms Jericho.. she was kind she was extremely polite she didn't hold back on my options or the sides.. I had the Golden Roasted chicken per her suggestion I'm not really a huge fan of fries but much to my surprise she let me know about their many choices and helped me put together a delicious healthy meal with the roasted chicken and a side salad and coleslaw as my side choices she even recommended the Palmer and it was also delicious..
