Jo Jo's China Bistro(Lake Charles) — Restaurant in Lake Charles

Me and my daughter went Christmas shopping and decided to go get a bite to eat. We went to Jo Jo's Bistro. We both ordered the Shrimp Fried Rice and two Egg Rolls, but on separate tickets. They brought our food out so fast as if we had called in the order and it was already prepared for us in the back. Which was not the case. In fact we just placed the order when we walked in. The hostess handed us our bag and we left. We went home to eat and I noticed the egg rolls taste like they were just dropped in the grease and pulled right out. The shrimp fried rice taste like it was made the day before. We were so unsatisfied we threw both plates in the trash. It was to late to call them so I waited until the next morning to call. I called and asked to speak to a supervisor and I explained to them about my experience there and how I used to enjoy their food and service but this time it was poor customer service and the food was horrible. He stated he would take my name and number down and I could come in and get my food replaced. So I went in the next day to attempt to get the food I was promised....only to leave out empty handed and be accused of not coming back that same day to get my order replaced. So again I explained to the supervisor that was working today that they were already closed once I got home and I was told by another person who said on the phone they were the supervisor I could come back in today to get my plate. They were very rude to me and I felt like I was getting no where so I just left out of their establishment unsatisfied again. I will never return to this...

I was going to take my refund and let it be but now I feel like I need to say something. Tried JoJos for the first time yesterday. Got the beef fried rice and egg rolls. On my second bite of rice I notice a bug in my food. Got grossed out because there could’ve been more. I called and asked for a refund. Go back for my refund and idk if this man was the owner, I think he was. Guy was EXTREMELY RUDE! huffing and puffing at me, telling me “good one” as if I’m lying. I show him the picture and he continues to be rude to me talking about how it has never happened in the years he’s been open. Blah blah. Dude I just want my money back and I’ll leave. My order was 15.96 and all he gave me back was 14 dollars and couldn’t even put it in my hand.. threw it on the counter. — he’s very lucky my husband...

Previously rated a solid 4. I had to bring my rating down because the quality of my food last couple months has been poor on some dishes and good but not great on others. I understand going out is more expensive now, but I feel like they are serving me fried rice and noodles that have been sitting under a heat lamp for several hours past the expiration/ reheated rice and noodles that sat under heat lamp all day yesterday. ( That type of old and bad) The service was nonexistent. 12:30 pm 1 other couple in the store, never came to check on us, I had to walk behind the ordering bar to refill our drinks.
