Arrived Sunday, 30Jn2024 around 3pm (Google says 3:02p). Room is not ready. Apparently had a large group previous night and housekeeping could not get allbrooms trying to check in ready on time. Yep, there were several rooms. Hour later, we are in the room, then out again. If hotel knew they were running significantly behind, why did they not let us know? In this day and age of email, txt msgs, cell phones, somebody should have realized that there was a problem. Not this place / staff.
First thing noticed was wet tile floor throughout room. Very slick. But didnt really improve. My non-slip work shoes were struggling. I suspect house keeping didnt rinse floor after mopping to save time and have room ready quicker.
Shortly after finally getting checked in, Wife discovered toilet seat is broke, right side hinge pin is missing, allowing seat to shift and pinch your posterior. Reported to desk. Nothing done during stay. A/C was noisy, continual fluttering sound that was highly annoying on high, but deal-with-able on low. While at Steam Boat Bill's, left A/C on low @ 70°, to see if was able to keep room cool. It was, so no big urgency.
Fridge wasnt checked, so disposed of prior renters' drinks and such to make room for ours.
Later that night, got a Coke bottle from Sundry store. Cash / Credit / Charge to room. I charged to room, no ID, no guest verification. Maybe the desk clerk recognized me even though was wife who made reservation, did check in wait disappointment, and ultimately got us in room.
Next day, it was off to slots! On way out abt 1pm, realized forgot my wallet in room. Tried to key card, but red light. At desk, told attendant card expired early, we were checking out next day. Attendant reprogrammed card, no ID, no verification of name. Just gave to her, got it done, handed card back. Hmm...
Hotel is making some aesthetic improvements. Namely, painting curbs and power washing parking lot, presumably for new stripes and handicap logos. When checking out, at typical time of 11am as requested, no luggage cart to be found. Ah, there it was, had 5gal of paint sitting on it on a white towel. Would have been nice to use it to load pickup with.
On lighter note, the coffee Tuesday morning was NOT weak at all. Saw manager making it, and what must have been an Ex Navy Chief pouring out a cup complaining was too weak. It wasnt. Good job on coffee, Mr Mgr. Very pleased that was actual brewed coffee and not that concentrated swill that has become so prevalent. Room coffee left lot to be desired, however.
Everybody that worked indoors had a smile on their face, even before seeing me. 3 guys working outside... Not so much. Outside workers doing cleaning dont do very good job w/ pressure washer. Guy painting curbs is detail oriented though.
What would I change? -maintain rooms better. Broken toilet seat. Noisy AC. Buildup of sort in shower corners Mold on shower walls at tub. Keep shower heads flowing cleanly. -communicate with guests. Delays happen, communicate when it happens. Verify guest information for room charges. Damn well verify guest information before potentially giving stranger access to a room!
Edit: Per past (~6months) response to Heather indicating it would have been helpful to know about room deficiencies while were still there...
We made you aware, and there wasnt anything done. Your comment to Heather and our experience at your attentiveness to respond to details appear...
Read moreI have traveled around the world and have stayed at many types of properties. I am always happy to write decent reviews, but this time, I just can't. The location and availability of this property is why we chose Wyndham, but after the one night stay, we will NEVER stay there again. We checked in, dropped off our luggage, and left to meet friends. After a fun night at the casino, I returned to our room to find that I was locked out. My husband had returned earlier and I didn't want to awaken him. As I tried my key card several times, the lock would flash red and green, but would the door would not unlock. I specifically kepy my key card away from my phone as I was instructed to do by the nice front desk clerk upon check in. I went to the front desk to ask that my key be reset. The nightshift person seemed tired and a little disoriented, but that's expected from working overnight. I went back to the room and had the same problem, so I went back to the front desk. Two young gentlemen were trying to check in. It was 4 am and there were no vacancies. They left and the lady proceeded to walk with me to my room while carrying a type of tablet with a key card attached. When we got near the elevator, I mentioned the smell of Marijuana I noticed in the lobby. I assumed it was from the two young men. She said she has a bad sense of smell so she didn't notice it. Well, upon exiting the elevator, the smell hit me hard. It was coming from the clerk. So what I initially thought was tiredness was actually stone. She was high as a kite!! Then, I get in my room to have a shower. This is the FIRST time I experienced a bathroom anywhere in the world that didn't have a bath towel. Did they expect me to drip dry? The bathroom only had two wash rags and two hand towels. No bath towels! Unbelievable!!! Then, to top it off, I found a pill on the bathroom floor which indicated that the floor had not been cleaned. I started to look further and found that the room had not been vacuumed. Disgusting!!! I wondered if I was about to lay on a bed with soiled sheets. Yuk!!! When we checked out just a couple of hours later, the same person was still working, very disoriented, and looked at me like I was an alien. I couldn't tell if she even understood my complaint about the towels as I handed her the pill I found on the bathroom floor. I couldn't get out of there fast enough. Please reconsider your stay at this hotel. It is apparent to me that they don't care about cleanliness or stocking the rooms with necessary amenities. I'll never understand how they had a decent rating after the condition I found our room to be in and the high front desk clerk. I can't be the ONLY person to notice that. Management needs to be at this property and correct these things. I'd rather pay double at a cleaner facility than to stay here again. Period. Btw... the second star for service is for the lady who checked us in. She was very pleasant. The night and morning clerk acted as though I was bothering her. Not a good image for a front desk clerk. That's what happens when employees are allowed to work under the influence...
Read moreI booked this hotel for three nights. We have two infants. One is here at the hotel and one is down the road in the nicu. We have requested towels because after 4 hours of sleep my husband had to drive to work 3 hours away and back. I have been back and forth to the nicu to take care of my baby after a c-section and have another baby in the room. I have to nurse them each every three hours. We needed towels so we could take showers to go to work, go into the nicu to feed and hold our child, and provide the other baby with a clean environment but when my husband went to the desk to ask for towels, he was told they don't have any and handed two washcloths! I called the national customer service line and was told there is nothing they can do. We are without the ability to bathe and paying over $100 per night! I was told they would submit a claim but there is nothing they can do. Post-op, premature infants, and our situation were ignored because a house keeper did not show up for work. However, I saw multiple housekeepers in the lobby today. I was called midday and asked if the "needle or insulin looking needle in the fridge in the breakfast area" was mine because it had this run number on it. It was not mine and why would they have a "syringe" in the fridge where people, including children, eat continental breakfast? Not to mention, when I came in last night, I was skipped in line, the lady working was rude to me and said she had to take her other customer (the person behind me) first before she could help me. After she was finished with him, she apologized for being rude but explained that there are pilots that use this hotel and they have priority because they pay (she gave me an exact number) thousand per month and need to be taken care of. I ask a customer too and paid $400 so why am I not taken care of in the order I am standing in line? I am VERY disappointed in this hotel and their customer service. They are supposed to be the number 3 hotel in the city per trip advisor. No towels for guests paying over $100 per night is unacceptable.
The next day I met with Rachel from housekeeping along with the supervisor to get some services in my room and they were nice, friendly, and overly helpful. I was very satisfied with...
