I have never had this kind of experience at this particular location. Our waitress, Chayla, greeted us with no smile and definitely no personality at all. First thing she asked was if we wanted an appetizer, but when I picked up the menu to look at the appetizers, she immediately said, I’ll just come back. WOW!! Because it had already taken her a long time to come to the table, we did not want her to leave again and stay gone for a long period of time again. So, before she got too far away, I just said ma’am, we’ll just go ahead and order now. So, because she was so impatient and couldn’t wait for me to look at a 7-8 (if that many) item appetizer menu, we just decided to order entrees only. She took our order and I specifically stated and explained how I wanted my salmon filet cooked on the medium side. When it came out, it was dry, which was not her fault, so I handed it back to her, told her it was overcooked, dry and chewy, and asked if they could redo it. She took the salmon from my hand, said nothing at all and walked away. About 5 minutes later, she tells me that they’ve dropped another one for me. After that, I never saw her again until approximately 30 minutes later. The manager brought my medium cooked salmon to me and it was delicious. Because it had been so long since I had seen her, when she came back to the table, she asked if we were okay. I said, No, I’d like to place a “to go” order, then proceeded to say, I thought you had left. She ignored my statement and asked, What would you like to order” as if she was rushing me, again, and wanted me to just go ahead and place my order. When she brought the to-go order to me, she never parted her lips to say anything. She just handed me the bag and uttered no words. In my opinion, she has no business being a waitress. Good waitresses smile, have sweet personalities, check on you periodically, and don’t try to rush you when placing your order. I would love for the managers to roll back the cameras and see how long it took her to come and check on us AND to zoom in on the look on her face every time she came to our table. It was almost as if she were annoyed or didn’t want to be there. If the latter is the case, go home and please get a job where you don’t have to interact with people. I always like tipping people who deserve a tip. For Chayla, she got $1.00 from me, and in my opinion, that was a...
Read moreWell today we went to eat at Texas Roadhouse for my daughter's 21st birthday. We knew we would be a large party so we called ahead and arrived an hour and a half early to wait patiently. We got called back to our two booths 8 in one and 8 in the other with two different waiters. We knew it would take a long time for our food and no one was complaining. The first table got there food and ate it. The first table ate and visited while the second table was still waiting for there food to be brought out. A table for two had three parties eat and leave and we still haven't had our food at the second table. We started to ask our waitresses about our food and she said "it was not her problem" so we asked to speak to a manager! THIS IS WHERE THE FUN STARTS! The manager (Blake Groth) came out and said "yall asked to speak to me" and we told him what was going on. He said since it was a large party that was what was taking so long, while he laughed about it. Which 8 was on a total separate table with a completely different waiter who did not know we were even together. The manager said it was the 2 or 3 steaks that took so long while laughing. Table 1 had more steaks than table 2. We had a couple at our table who had to leave due to it taking so long. Also before we talked to the manager we paid hopeing it would speed things along! I do Not think it is appropriate for a manager to laugh about us not receiving our food for 2 hours after we ordered. We did receive 3 $15 vouchers for an entrée the next time we go. Although i dont know if we'll be back. But that is not the point. The point is the manager was very unprofessional and rude! We were so disappointed in the way that we were treated! Does anyone know who I can call and talk to above the manager, because I think they need to know how there managers are treating customers! I will be making some phone calls in...
Read moreI have always told readers of my reviews, "It's about the entire dining experience" and that I always try and take up any concerns that would lead to a negative review with management before posting. This review is not the case.
Our family had not been to our local Texas Roadhouse in some time. We decided to take our son-in-law for his birthday dinner. Mary, who was a manager in training stopped by our table to greet us. Taylor was our server.
With that being said: Taylor brought our drinks and dumped an entire strawberry lemonade in my lap. She was very apologetic. She did bring towels to dry off and clean up the best I could. However, I sat the entire meal with lemonade and ice running down my pants into my suede boots. My I-phone was covered in it.
I am not sure how Texas Roadhouse trains their staff to treat such an issue, but what should have happened was that Taylor should have went to management and let them know what happen. Management should have then come to the table and offered something. But that didn't happen. So if anything like this should happen to other guest, I recommend that you speak with management yourself before leaving. Clothes will wash and I will see how boots and I-phone dries out. Might turn out to be a more expensive meal than what I bargain for.
The food was excellent. All four steaks that were ordered were cooked to perfection. But our server should have been more attentive following the mishap. We had to ask everytime we needed drink refills and after we cleaned the table of the remaining drink and ice that was not sitting in my lap, we needed new cloth napkins which we had to ask for. Our entire dining experience was disappointing to say the least. #bayoucruisinbelle...
