A good change. Went on a Sunday evening for dinner. Our first time going.
Location: close to the shopping center (target, Oshkosh, etc) but near prien lake road. Fairly easy to get to, but you can pass it up of you are coming from lake street (from Nelson Rd, you will be facing the entrance).
Atmosphere: small, comfortable. Booth and table seating available. 2 tvs inside but not loud. 4 adults sat at a booth comfortably.
Service: Very friendly and attentive to tables. I believe only one waitress was working at the time but she seemed to manage the tables well. They also offer to-go. If dining in, you will be seated by someone. If getting to-go, just proceed to the counter on the right.
Food: a good variety for poke bowls and ramen. They also have quite a few appetizers (crab rangoon, bbq pork buns, calamari, chicken & pork fried, tempura shrimp, and much more!). They also have some fried rice options. I ordered the wonton ramen and it was good- the eggs were delicious, and it had about 6+ chicken wontons. I did add chicken to it, but next time I will leave off- it was too dry. The bbq pork buns were great- soft and sweet. The fried pork was good but a little hard.
Price: I felt okay with the prices. It was clear that they had to increase the prices on the menu. My ramen was about $12. The buns were $5. The pork was $7 (I think). The poke bowls just depend on the size and add-ins ($12.50+).
Overall, I would return. It was a good change from what we typically eat. The flavors were good and the service...

I ordered the Super Yummy Ramen ($15) (pork and chicken broth), Tonkostu Ramen ($13.50,), and chicken katsu bento box ($15).
Miso soup, very good has a slight taste of lemon
Chicken Katsu, the chicken itself is adequate, but there was no typical curry sauce. The portion itself is alright and will fill an average person. For $15 slightly too expensive for this type of dish.
Super Yummy Ramen has a good tasting broth.
Both Ramen had the issue of a very meh egg (taste like a normal egg, which means they didn't properly season the egg). The pork belly was burnt/overly charred giving the burnt taste, which overpowered the flavor which is also horrible.
The noodle qualitly itself is about average to above average with the issue of it not lasting very long, so eat quickly! Or expect soggy noodles.
A slight note that they are apparently super busy or understaff, so you may need to seat yourselves.
Overall due to these issues I CANNOT recommend the Ramen in the current state, it needs qualitly control asap. But if they managed to at least properly cook/season the egg/porkbelly, it'll be a good Ramen place.
Also due to the poor qualitly, I will not be...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIāve literally never made a public review on anything, as Iām no Karen and work in food service myself, but after my experience today I have to. This placeās food is great, and Iāve never been disappointed in their service until today. I go with my friends often and I went in with my friend today for lunch. It was just me and him finishing off our meals when I witnessed an altercation between what looked like the manager and the chef towards our server, they were yelling and berating this poor kid who did nothing wrong telling the other servers not to talk to him as a punishment and threatening to fire him. There is absolutely no reason to EVER treat an employee like this and when I asked him about it he said it was a DAILY occurrence? Completely unacceptable and I will no longer be suggesting this to any of my friends, might as well go to Lafayette if youāre having a ramen...
