Del Taco — Restaurant in Lake Elsinore

First off, the hours listed on Google are not accurate. After tending to a late night family emergency in LA my daughter and I were starving at 2 AM. I told my daughter to see what's open near home. She told me del taco was closed but Jack n the box was open. We headed down Lakeshore to Jack to notice that Del Taco was in fact open. So we turned into the drive thru and it went downhill from there.

While taking my order the lady was very short with me and I did feel rushed but I shrugged it off to her maybe being jacked up on caffeine working this late shift...not a problem.

We pull up to the window and from me handing her my card to being asked to pull forward so she could bring my order out to my car was very aggressive and weird. My daughter could sense that I was about to give it to her and asked me to let it go. I did because we had other things going on that this was minor.

I was hungry as I dont know what to get home and my food smelled like old clothes and my taco shells were stale as hell. There was barely any meat in the tacos a d the shells were. Token apart. It was definitely thrown together.

I dont know where the change happened but this Del Taco used to be really good no matter what time you patronized them and the staff used to be nice and friendly too but that heavy set chick with black hair and black uniform needs to either be retrained in basic food handling skills (no telling what would have happened if we had eaten that food that smelled like it's been sitting in somebody's rancid pots) or told to hit the road if she doesn't appreciate her job.

I'll make sure to drive the extra 5 miles to the location on Central if I'm ever wanting...

Worse customer service from the assistant manager Jessica. She shouldn't be a manager if she can't resolve conflict. I spent almost $30 tonight and ordered their new Al pasto quesdila which nowhere in the name of "Roasted Pork Al pastor cheddar quesdila" mentions pineapple let alone visibility shows pineapple in the picture. I explained to her I never got a receipt which we also didn't get the queso that we paid for but I explained I didn't know their was pineapple in the quesdila and I don't eat pineapple, I told her I just got home and it ruined my dinner but Jessica made it very clear she will only replace it if I come back tonight. I told her I live across town and will have to come back tonight just to get it replace how is fair to me. She said I should've asked what ingredients are in the quesdila even though the name never mentions pineapple as they advertise and the picture doesn't visibility show that which can be mistaken as cheese. She said it's not their fault for the mess up and she will replace it only if I come back tonight which was extremely unreasonable since I already had a missing item, no receipt, and a meal I wasn't expecting of other ingredients since it's so badly advertised. She didn't care about my situation and wouldn't budge. I asked for a manager and she said she's the assistant manager, not very professional whatsoever regarding my situation at all. I don't recommend coming to this del taco. It's so funny when they advertise trying new items but you get spit in the face when you're not aware of what proper advertisement is shown, bad advertisement. Please spend your money at taco bell, never get bad...

So the one star is based on the associate that instructed another associate to NOT fulfill my request. Not sure if it was a manager or not, didn't want to make a big deal but I was taken back by what happened. I ordered fiesta pack and fries. When I was asked for my sauce I requested a small bag of mild sauce. The associate helping me was happy to do so until another associate said "no that's too much " I responded "that's what I asked for" this other associate told me that was enough. I said I was willing yo pay for the sauce and she told me no . I left without what I asked for to not create a problem. If there are reasons for what happened it should be communicated respectfully but the way this was handled was all wrong. This happened on 2-18-22 about 6:30 pm.
