Lake Elsinore Restaurant & Drive Thru…
Trying to make Lake Elsinore Great Again!
For a quick hamburger and burrito establishment it’s the best we have!
I just bumped review from 3 to 4 star. I ate inside today 7/18/24. Spotless inside, here the owner is brilliant Clean house clean food, I feel secure eating here! Do not change your salsa recipe sir/ma’am, it’s some of the finest I’ve had in over 5 decades. That says a ton. My food was nicely plated, clean, organized. Silverware wrapped and nicely strategically placed atop the plate. As usual the service was great, staff not dressed sloppy dirty, but matching attire. I’m unable to comment on the speaker drive thru today.
First review below about 5/2024…
Here’s what brings the quality and the entire dining (in my car!) experience down, the poorly functioning drive up speaker microphone. 🎙️
By the time, I’m done shouting… and yes, I do mean litterly shouting my order, 3 times, my stomach, my mood, the experience is upset. This, in and of itself, keeps me away from your restaurant. Like the one at Panera Bread there’s is bad too, SS is worse.
The good: I’ve never encountered a less than desirable clerk, server, whatever the current term is for the staff. They have always, been smiling (that’s so huge), friendly, and usally look up into your face or make eye contact, again this is huge!!!
The price, moderate, breakfast burrito alone, …. Is $13.00. Yes California is famous for overpriced everything, and now have the, so most biz owners think, the wonderful reason of past/present COVID, to keep prices high. Even when they use less staff thanks to COVID.
Get the speaker fixed, continue with great service and you’ll kill it. Don’t and the business will continue functioning at its same level…..
And owner, I know there’s a busy street, but that is not the problem of your customers. It’s yours. Own it. Fix it. And they will come. Perhaps make a clean nice pole next to the curb there, and put the microphone there 1-2 feet away from our mouth. Not the current 10 feet away, and 3 feet about our head in a sedan/car.
Use Heinz catsup, it classes the place up a little for pennies. They do inside, but off brand for drive thru.
Your diner is always spotless out front, that’s huge.
The hash browns cooked crisp outside and good inside. The salsa is excellent, today a little watery, but usually great.
I hope this helps, when I see change I will rethink the 3 stars I gave the place....
Read moreWe were the only people in the drive-through at S&S order. Two Patty melts With grilled onion and Swiss cheese instead of Orange, a large and a small orange crush. And chili cheese fries, Almost $32 without the 3% Discount for cash! First, I don’t understand how a discount does not remove 3% from their posted price. It just doesn’t charge you if you use a card that is not a discount.!!! Back to the food the speaker sucks after multiple times they read back the order correctly as we had ordered it however, we get to the window… pay and head home Where I open my patty melt. The patty is just barely as thick as the cheese, which by the way was that nasty orange cheese on both sides of the patty. Do they think that makes it bigger? What happened to my Swiss or white cheese when my son opened his. He told me mom you’re gonna be Disappointed not only was I disappointed. I was mad so I tried to call them. All they wanna do is put you on hold. I’m not on hold kind of person so I asked for a manager again. They wanted to put me on hold. Said they were busy. I know how busy they were. We were just there And who doesn’t understand white from orange cheese? Pretty much I’ve been there multiple times in the last 20 years and watched the quality of food go downhill real quick next time I want a patty melt I’ll go to Denneys. At least they understand the difference between colors. Our last few trips there have been very disappointing even when they got it correct you get more meat on a cheap burger at McDonald’s So if you like guessing games, it could be fun for a day. Be sure you take your blood pressure meds first! you’ve been warned. Jack-in-the-Box is just down the street less than a half mile and at least you know what you’re...
Read moreGreat food. Terrible drive-thru service. I drive by SS Burger every day on my way home from work and decided to finally try it. There were only 4 cars in the drive-thru line, but it was over 30 minutes from the time I got in line to the time I got my food. I sat in front of the menu sign for so long without being acknowledged, that I started to wonder if they actually took orders at that spot, and as the line behind me was backing up and the truck in front of me had pulled up, I got anxious after sitting there for 10 minutes and asked "hello?" a couple of times. I eventually went to the driver in front of me and asked her if they had taken her order at the menu sign and she said yes, they did... eventually. So I went back and waited some more. Then, at the window, I waited some more. Eventually, the girl taking drive thru orders grabbed my credit card from me and didn't give me a receipt. And then I waited some more, until she opened the window and thrust my food out at me without saying anything, and closed it too fast for me to even say thank you. I remained calm and polite and did not deserve that treatment. It's a shame, the burger and fries were great, but I will never risk getting caught in that drive-thru line for half an hour again, nor do I want to spend my hard-earned...
