My husband and I visited this location on Saturday morning. We were greeted by the hostess and sat at our table. The young lady that initially asked us what we wanted to drink and brought us our drinks was extremely kind and made us feel welcomed. However, the waitress "Debbie" was not kind to us whatsoever. Before I proceed, I want to make it clear that I understand weekends are busy and stressful, but my husband I noticed the way Debbie was treating other guests. Our food took a long time to arrive, and like I said I understand that the weekends are busy and that is fine. If I would have wanted a rushed service I would have gone to McDonald's or cooked at home. I want to make it very clear that my complaint is not in reference to the speed of the service, but the way Debbie treated my husband and I. When our food arrived she just slid it on our table and completely ignored us without saying something like "Thank you for your patience and I hope you enjoy your meal" or " Thank you for waiting is there anything else you need." When I called her over, Debbie seemed to ignore me purposefully. When she finally came to check on us she asked my husband and I if we needed anything like ketchup or salsas, I responded "all of the above please". She literally came over and just kind of slid/tossed them over. I could not believe the treatment we were receiving on behalf of this woman. Furthermore, she did not check up on us when we needed refills. She kept on being kind to the other guests so I do not understand why we were treated differently. I would like to let you know that the rest of the staff was kind to my husband and I. We had a gentleman check in on our table and I thanked him for actually checking in on us. Michelle in the front was also very kind when I was paying the bill and she apologized on behalf of...
Read moreBest breakfast I've had in a long time. I was actually really happy and surprised to see old school places that aren't franchises like this still exist outside of my home town because I hate having to go back there if I want to eat at restaurants I miss. Also, don't let the single cheese slice on the omelet fool you like it did me, I saw a pic of one on here thinking the person just went in on a bad day or made someone angry and got it thinking i wouldn't get the same thing. When I got the same I was thinking "seriously bro?", but nah there is cheese in the omelet too. I suppose it's still lazy and ghetto to do and shredded cheese on top would've been better, but the omelet is so good it's hard to care even if there wasn't any cheese on top.
Other than the omelet, got home fries, those were also good, if I had to nitpick, I guess it could use more veggies or perhaps bigger cut ones, thinking about it in hindsight I suppose some bell pepper in there would've been nice. English Muffin, was an English Muffin, nothing to really comment on it, it was good. Biscuits and gravy...they were good, but I did feel like they were missing something, but I don't recall if it was the sauce or the biscuits themselves, I'd have to try em again in the future to specify, but again everything was awesome and I'd go...
Read moreUsed to kind of like it. New manager came in and according to staff rally upped their profits... Sad thing is that means shorter hours mostly cutting into the late dinner crowd which is a lot of business considering most of Elsinore drives back on the 74 or 91 and its after their new closing when most are just getting off the interstate...But the big reason they increased profits. That dove me and my boyfriend away finally. Is they increased the price of just about every entree, sandwhich, drink, you name it by $2.00-$5.75... sorry forgot it was only a $0.50 on fountain drinks, and $1.00 on coffee... seriously...I sincerely hope the owner wakes up and realizes that his big revenue increase is a bubble. That bubble is going to pop when his last few regulars decide they can't afford eating there. When you're jacking the prices once or twice a month to compensate for lack of any new or repeat customers. You can't expect yup charge luxury restaurant prices in a family diner with only one streak on the menu that is half the weight of the same ribeye steak at Chili's but $3.45...
