Michi Tacos — Restaurant in Lake Elsinore

If I could give it 0 stars I would. My girlfriend and I tried this place on a recommendation from a friend. We placed our order online and it was a 45 minute wait. We got there about 55 min as we had read review it took time and guess what! Our food wasn’t ready. We waited an extra 45min after the time it was supposed to be ready😡 once we received the food it was wrong. We ordered the michi dog with no onion and we got a plain hot dog with nothing on it. Being mad at the wait already we took the hot dog back in to get fixed and the ladies at the counter were rude about it and looked like they didn’t want to be there. They seemed bothered at the questions we asked and other customer asked. Once we got home to eat the rest of the food the keto taco cheese shell was soggy and not cooked all the way. Then the fries had some meat that was cold. Super disappointed in this place and will not be returning. A waste of $50 we spent there that night. They need better organization and customer service. Also the menu when you order online is In Spanish only so hard to figure if you don’t know Spanish. I get good food takes time as their sign says BUT THIS IS NOT GOOD FOOD! Not worth the money or the time or the attitude. They should be able to read their own menu if they make it in Spanish and what a customer wants and does not want on their items. Won’t be returning do yourself a favor and don’t waste your time or money here unless you like doing that. Update: we been back one more time just as disappointing rude attitude. The BEST Mexican food in Southern California. No matter what you get, it is going to be good. My friends and I are huge foodies and will travel for a good meal. The Michi's Tacos staff and owner were extremely accommodating to our large group and even sat tables up for us during busy hours. I had a huge sampling of their food but what I loved the most was their Birria Ramen, Queso Tacos (AKA, Keto Tacos) and their Micheladas.

The Birria Ramen was well thought out. It wasn't just the Birria in consume, it had authentic Japanese noodles, which kept firm even after an hour of eating it! The noddles never got soggy and they were nicely chewy. It was a great alternative way to eat Birria. It was incredible!

The Queso Tacos were also the best Keto Tacos I've had. They aren't soggy or that greasy compared to some of the other local Keto Tacos. These were firm and held their shape. They had a great crispy edge and complimented the pastor I got with it. Oh my, their pastor is soo juicy, sweet and smoky. I couldn't believe it's taste. Soo good.

If you like Micheladas, you'll love theirs. I had both the Modelo and Idio Micheladas, Indio came up on top. Their michlada mix was so well balanced. Not too sour or acidic. It looked like they had 2 mixes that went in it. But the chimoy and tajin rim finished the drink off so well.

Michi's Tacos is worth every penny and worth the wait. They are very upfront about the wait times so my suggestion is come 1 hour before you're starving lol. They have the best staff and owner who care a great deal for their customer. Totally coming back...

Everything about this place was amazing. The food, the drinks, the staff, everything. You do have to wait for your food but they are transparent about it and let you know that everything is made to order.

Friends and I went and they not only made table accommodations but also ensured all us got our food at the same time.

All of us are huge foodies and visit many places in SD, LA and local...and its not hard to say Michi tacos has some of the best food hands down. Our friends drove all the way from SD and said it was definitely worth it.

As unconventional as it sounds, we loved their Birria ramen. Flavor was great and we were informed that they use authentic Japanese noodles so it doesn't get soggy fast.

Tacos were amazing, the thick corn tortilla makes them hearty and the meats were delicious!

The pupusas alone would have me coming back regularly. They dont skimp on the filling and come with their traditional sauces and cabbage toppings! They take a bit longer to make but worth every second.

Sauces/salsas are out of this world too. They all unique flavors and great kick. Beware of the bright orange one, it hits hard but tastes amazing!

Highly recommend trying each of their aguas frescas! Super refreshing and the chamoy rim on them is a huge plus!
