I was excited to try Popeyes with my nephew after school. When we got there, there was a cone blocking the drive-thru. We decided to go inside because we didn't know the menu. We were wondering if they were even open. When heading in we saw many employees by the back door, asked if they were open they said yes but their systems were down, and had been for thirty minutes. We decided to go in and check out the menu for future reference. We were told immediately that the POS system was down and they couldn't ring any orders. I noticed they had a ton of food prepared and waiting, a lobby full of employees, and management was asking who wanted to go home. As we left I thought to myself...what a missed opportunity. You're a new franchise in the area, you should have seized the opportunity and given free samples of the food, which there was a lot of, to the customers that took the time to stop in, instead of having it just sit there to get thrown away. I would have appreciated getting a taste tester and probably wouldn't have been as disappointed when leaving. I understand it is a new business and things still need to get worked out, but I can't help feeling it was a missed opportunity to foster some good will in a difficult situation. As we left two others asked if they were open, we said no there system was down. Ironically we all saw each other again at Wendy's. Instead of having employees leave or hang out, maybe they should have put someone out front to explain the situation, apologize, give samples and ask for them to return again soon. Food for thought, good luck...
Read moreEmployees still dumb as a dumb bell. My chicken is usually burned to a crisp...and inedible or...my order is missing pieces. Stupid mobile app does not allow you to order say...a 2 piece platter with 2 breasts. I was offered a replacement meal for my burned up breasts...I ordered 3 breasts and 1 thigh...the replacement meal was repeated to the manager many times. He kept asking me. I was given one breast..a drum stick..a back and a thigh. I decided to go in and order since I either go home with burned chicken or the wrong pieces after an upcharge..that way I could inspect my meal at the counter. It smelled like ba sewer inside..like..the toilets were overflowing and it was not disinfected. I am calling the health department tomorrow. I was told that I had to use the kiosk ...I could not order in person because they only have 3 people working and as long as there were people in the drive through...I would not get service. I have talked to management...their corporate headquarters ...for years. This place is not getting any better...it is getting worse. I am glad there are brand new Popeyes nearby in Wildomar and Menifee. I will never visit this smelly, always out of pies and frozen lemonaide...burned or missing chicken want to...
Read moreI had a bacon cheese chicken sandwich combo it was really tasty. My boyfriend had a two-piece dark meat combo. One of his pieces of chicken was good the other was old crusty and dry. My major complaint with this restaurant was the fact that we had to use the kiosk to order. Now neither one of us has been to a Popeyes in years and honestly we aren't employees and shouldn't have to place our order ourselves. We thought we were getting two sides and when it came out we only got one so the ordering software was not as clear as it could have been. And if we are going to be doing the job of an employee then we should be getting an employee discount. There wasn't anybody in the store when we first got there one other person showed up so we have the place pretty much to ourselves it was clean it was nice inside and the people were friendly. Three stars is a combination of the piece of chicken that should never have been served and the fact that we had to do their job in order to get a meal. Since California has mandated that fast food workers get paid $20 an hour now, there's no need for a kiosk. Employees should be able to take an order if a customer doesn't want to use a kiosk. There was a sign on the counter saying that we had to...
