K D's Donuts — Restaurant in Lake Forest

The owner was the rudest person I have encountered in my life. I only came here once or twice because it’s the only donut that is open really early. I was here a year ago, I already noticed the owner was so impatient and rude. That is why I haven’t back here in long time. He did not made a good impression on me. This morning my children and I were heading to Dunkin Donuts but they were still closed and so as Starbucks in Target. So we hesitantly went to KD because we have no choice. I saw that rude owner again but what the heck we need to eat. While in the process of ordering, my daughter did not hear what the owner said because his accent is just so thick. I was wondering why she didn’t have her donut. Then I asked her where’s her donut? This rude SOB started yelling at my daughter and telling her “I asked you if you are with them and you didn’t say anything?!” To my shock, I yelled back at this A-hole! I told him not to talk to my 14year old daughter that way! If he has any problem, he has to talk to me! While I was confronting this jerk, I saw other customers with a smile on their faces as if they were agreeing. I’m so shocked to see he has 4.5 stars. I wonder who writes these reviews? My ex- husband used to come here too but we were never together coming in, he too complained about this guy! You SOB, you found your match today, didn’t you?! Next time you mistreat someone else, I hope you received the same wrath you got today. If you are unhappy with your job then get out of it! On top of that you’re donuts have nothing to rave about, it’s stale! If you want really good donuts, go to Donut Star on Los Alisos, their donuts are not only fresh and warm, they are very nice people. That is more than I can say to this ...

I came in to purchase a donut from a client and for myself as well. The owners of the shop did not provide good service at all. My client has a visa gift card for caregivers to use for her to purchase any food with. The owner of the shop middle-age man got frustrated due to the gift card working. He had no right to raise his voice at me because he was frustrated and didn’t know how to work a Visa gift card. NOT GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE. Literally reviewing as I’m still eating my donut (apple fritter, really) because it’s that good. I’m usually quite picky with donuts so I knew when I took my first bite I’d have to share a review. I also sampled the apple bear claw which was probably equally good but I’m—personally, anyway—in favor of the fritter. The woman that helped us was very nice and super generous. I was waffling over adding on a blueberry cake donut and boy was she right about trying it! Ok, I’m finished with the review, but not the fritter.
