My girlfriend and I visited this location at 7:30 to 8:00 p.m. on a sunday. The staff seemed very unorganized even though they were not unreasonably busy. They sat us next to two mid 20s males who were obviously extremely intoxicated however the server continued to over serve and bring three more bottles of sake. And you guessed it, the inebriated males continued to get aggressive with their behavior and started to walk around and annoy and talk to other patrons. One of them tried to talk to me and I told him I did not want to speak to him. This of course set them off. I had to take control of the situation and they finally left after telling them we'd call the police if they didn't leave. During all of these actions, the staff do not take control of the situation of the two overly intoxicated customers in their establishment. On top of this while we were watching the drunks make a fool of themselves and annoy other patrons, it took 45 minutes for our miso and edamame to simply get there. Within the hour we finally got all of our food and the food was okay.
The server continued to bring drinks to the inebriated patrons. Under California law, it is a misdemeanor for an establishment to continue to serve alcoholic beverages to obviously inebriated or intoxicated patrons. The staff at this location did not directly cause the disturbance that these two males did, but they enabled it and allowed it to happen. Even when the two males caused the disturbance, they did nothing to intervene or to stop it. I asked several servers for the name and phone number of the owner and they said they would get it to me, but they never did. One older female staff was pointed out to me by a server to be the owner and I confronted her asking her who the owner of the establishment was and she said she is not. I asked for the name and number of the restaurant and she said she did not know. I had to ask several times for the name and number of the owner of the restaurant, and she finally gave me the name of Anne. It was obvious this female I was talking to was a manager or owner of the restaurant and refused to talk to me about the situation that I occurred.
Please stay away from this location. They caused an unsafe situation, were un professional, unorganized, and overall a...
Read moreThis restaurant has been one of my favorites in the area. Been coming here for7 years, with friends and family. They have 50% of select sushi&rolls ALL DAY EVERYDAY!!! Thankfully they’re still open for takeout orders during the pandemic!! As a regular customer i appreciate them being opened and still serving the same great quality sushi. The staff is always so welcoming and friendly and that’s another reason why i like coming here. Back when we would dine in, the servers were always attentive and friendly. I sometimes would sit at the bar with the chefs and have a couple drinks while they prepared our favorites. Right before quarantine, the restaurant had 2 new sushi chefs which are professional , extremely funny and can make great food, hopefully once things go back to normal, you can sit down and share a nice chat with them and get to know the great staff With that said i highly recommend this place and very very happy they’re still doing takeouts. Can’t wait to be...
Read moreWhat a horrible experience! This was our first visit and last. I mentioned to our waiter that we had only received 1 of the 2 sushi orders, and what a foul response and attitude I received in return from the waiter and the manager. Not only did the waiter tell me I had no common sense because I didn't know they placed both orders onto 1 plate but I had the manager shout at me and after addressing this with her, she apologized and admitted this was her style. I then tried to place another small order, and she condescendedly replied "You want more?" When I tried to explain to her my request, she chose to walk away and right after delivered our check.
I must say, this experience is not a good example of customer service. I can't say I have ever experienced this before but at least I know that I will...
