Our Place — Restaurant in Lake Forest

I mostly come here for trivia every Thursday. It's one of the funnest trivia formats I've experienced, with lots of creative team names that are hilarious (ours included). The only occasional negative is understaffing, but service has been spectacular for months now. 9/10 times the food is great, a nice level up from "bar food". It's a bit indulgent though, like, a lotta things on the menu are tasty, but I save my cheat days.

The crowd in general is super friendly. Met a lot of good people here. In the year that I've been frequenting this establishment, I've only seen one drama moment. Not like the other bar a mile away that has security on staff on a weekday.

I've also had a great time doing karaoke here. And the one comedy night I went to was done very well, funny AF with easy minimums.

TL;DR Don't come here unless you're looking for a rockin' good time with good food, drinks and people.

Haddent been hear in years but with a friend visiting down from his Coast Guard Station, and after a long day of hiking in Trabuco wilderness, we were hungry wanted to place for drinks and great food and I seem to remember that this place had both. They did not disappoint. It was Sunday afternoon rather slow and exactly the environment we are looking for to be able to talk catch up and stretch our legs while sitting on their expansive patio. We were met by one of the Proprietors and although I had not been there in years, we were treated like royalty from the moment we stepped in the door. This is what's missing in customer service these days comment that Personal Touch that makes you feel at home welcome and truly a part of the family. Be it your first time or hundredth time visiting, whether you're there for a quiet afternoon lunch or looking to enjoy some live music in the evenings this Lake Forest gem cannot receive more praise from me. This has been always been a cool place to hang out. More recently there has been a change of ownership which seems to have brought a bit more life here and also made the already good food and good menu even better. The owner is friendly as well as the staff. If you were here for the food keep in mind that I think that sometime in the earlier afternoon the cook or cooks go on break so there may not be food from the kitchen during that time. This last visit there appeared to only be one person "on the floor." It was the bartender so when the bartender had to take care of people there the people at the tables had slower service. Hopefully that was only a thing for that day maybe someone called out but I think there should always be at least a server as well as the bartender.
