Angelina's is a cute little Italian restaurant in Lake Havasu. I heard good things about it from the locals so decided to give it a try. As I've said before, I'm a big fan of carbonara and it is on the menu at Angelina's,so I was very excited. The restaurant is very small and the seats are close together which makes for a noisy atmosphere. If you're looking for a quiet /intimate meal this isn't the place. Once again, I was seated at the bar since I was dining alone ..come on people, can't a single guy get a full sized table?? So once again the bartender is my waiter, which means I have to compete with all the people getting drinks for service. The carbonara comes with penne pasta which isn't my favorite so I had them change it to spaghetti. The bread they serve with the meal is awesome, a very fluffy facacia bread. The carbonara was a bit of a let down, it didn't have much flavor which is surprising for carbonara. It was just okay. Everyone there seemed to be having a good time and there were sports games on the TVs so that added to the noise level. I would say if you aren't looking for a quiet meal or to have a conversation over dinner, give them a try.

The atmosphere is cozy as tables are close. It is romantic if you can score a booth. The decor is abundant. The service left nothing to be desired. Our waitress was very knowledgeable about the dishes. My wife liked her meat lasagna. I had the seafood stew with scallops over spaghetti, and it was simply delicious. It was one of the best Italian foods I have ever eaten. The portions were too large for us both, and we ended up with boxes to go. I would be remiss if I neglected to mention the bread and dip. The bread was dense and tasty. Obviously homemade, and soft for as thick as it was. I've previously eaten the oil and vinegar dip, but had never liked it until I tried theirs. They must use quality ingredients because I ate a lot. Finally, the resling wine was a sweet remberance of Germany. I recommend reservations as we tried to get in before, but it was a long wait.

I come from an Italian family and it's hard to find good Italian food. Angelina's is pretty good and is my favorite Italian restaurant in Lake Havasu. I've tried the eggplant parmesan, chicken parmesan, fettuccine Alfredo, meat Lasagne and chocolate cannolis. All have been excellent, especially the chocolate cannolis!! I like to get the Trio of chicken parmesan, meat Lasagne and fettuccine Alfredo. I'll eat all of it except for the Lasagne and save it for the next day. Lasagne always tastes better the day after. The atmosphere is nice and it's a good spot for a dinner date. During happy hour the House Cabernet is only $5/glass. The wife enjoys this very much and I like how it makes her happy. I would recommend calling in a reservation or you might get stuck waiting awhile for a table. It can get busy at times.

Angelina's is a hidden gem in Lake Havasu. If you are looking for authentic Italian cuisine this is the place to go. From the moment you walk in, instantly you forget that you are in the middle of the desert and are enveloped in Italian culture. The dim lighting, Italian themes, deep colors, the bustle of a busy kitchen and families gathered around candle lit tables makes you know you walked into the right place. Instantly you will be greeted with upbeat service. I have had the pleasure of Jami and Santos (ask for one of them) to serve me. They know the menu through and through, also they can help you substitute anything to make your meal personal. The warm bread coupled with oil and vinegar are a perfect start to get your taste buds jumping with excitement. If you are looking for something a little heavier than the fried meatballs are spectacular. They offer a great selection of wine, beer and I believe mixed drinks.

In terms of the food, I have been here three times. Two times I got the meat lasagna. In my opinion, the lasagna was fantastic. It’s not the kind that falls apart, but stays put while cutting into it. The flavors are full and robust, you can even add sausage if you prefer. The other time I went, I ordered the seafood lasagna, and I will tell you I licked my plate clean! it had the perfect ratio of seafood to creamy sauce, not too rich and not too overpowering. If I had to choose between the seafood lasagna and the meat lasagna I would go for the seafood.

My wife ordered the chicken parmesan with alfredo sauce and noodles. The chicken had a nice even crust throughout, noodles were al dente which is how we prefer them. The alfredo sauce was creamy and not too rich.

Overall, I look forward to my next visit. We typically have guests all through the summer and we will definitely be taking our house guests here all...

EDIT 2 - I received call back from owner who was VERY nice. I explained that I didn't want anything for free based on this review but to just let her know what had happened. She completely understood and was very apologetic. Seemed like a genuine good owner and very passionate about her food and her customers

EDIT - I called and left message based on the response to my review below. I have not received call back

Just moved here and saw some great reviews on this place. Appetizers and bread were really good. I ordered the veil parmesan... What came out was not veil parmesan. It was chicken. My sister who I was there with got her food at the same time and I did not want to have her wait for them to make me a whole new meal, so I just accepted the chicken parmesan. Here's where things go a little bad. Now please keep in mind that I didn't know what to expect on the bill since I was given the wrong meal. Well when the bill came, I was given 20% off...of the chicken parmesan dish. Let me say that again. I did not get 20 % off the bill, I did not receive the meal for free, I was simply given 20% off of ONLY the chicken parmesan meal. That ended up being 3 dollars and some change off. I seriously rather have had them not given me anything off the bill vs a $3 apology. Yes, I'm sure I could have "Karen'd" it up in order to get more off the bill, but that's not like me. I want to end this review by saying that even though all of the above is true, the food was still outstanding. I wish I could say I would go back, but I really don't know just based off of this experience. And before you say I'm writing all this for attention, I actually barley write google reviews. Feel free to check my account, this is like my 3rd review ever. I was just so shocked that I was given a $3 apology that I felt the need to write this. Thank you...

I wanted to update a review I left two years ago. We returned to Angelina's recently with a party of 6. This time we went on a Sunday when they opened at 3PM for a late lunch/early dinner, and asked to be seated on the patio. They gave us a large round table right in the middle of the patio - and no other parties were seated out there the whole time we were there. It was like having our meal in a beautiful back yard! Food was excellent, as always. Most of us had a variation on the Tuscan Terry Victor Style - which is a little spicy. Service was also excellent. Overall, we could not have had a better experience.

Here's my earlier review: Don't get me wrong. We LOVE Angelina's and have gone for years. But today I left a message saying I would like a reservation at 6 for 4 people. I got a call back - they could seat us at 6 outside. I told her it was cold so we'd pass and she assured me we would be warm and comfortable. We arrived and guess what? They had one space heater for the whole area. The others were out of propane. Customers were moving that one heater around to make themselves more comfortable and almost set the Christmas decorations on fire, which of course could have caught the entire restaurant on fire! Seriously, the decorations were smoking and the customers were yelling. So if they want to seat you outside, be sure to ask if they refilled the propane recently! When we left, we saw numerous heaters and propane tanks out in the back area. Really? Did they not expect the weather to...
