Hokkaido Asian Cuisine — Restaurant in Lake Havasu City

[EDITED] I went to the Hokkaido Asian Cuisine Buffet, and to be honest, with high hopes and most certainly thinking I would enjoy the food a lot! When I entered the Restaurant, it had a pleasant scent and design as all the staff were wearing masks and gloves, which is understandable considering the current situation with the world. I sat down with my Uncle and Aunt and was greeted by kindly by staff and soon enough went to get my fill. We had to wear disposable gloves which was strange-ish at first but a good safety precaution. I got some BBQ Chicken and some fries, as I didn't see myself eating much else there. The Chicken was a little tasteless but the BBQ Sauce helped, but the fries were absolutely delicious and well-seasoned, nothing much else happened after that except one thing. One of the employee's grabbed the bowl that was under the hot lamp, most likely empty, which was surprising but it was understandable that something like that could be forgotten, we thanked the employee's for the food, paid and left. However, a few hours later once I got home, I got severe food poisoning and began puking all of what must've been the BBQ Chicken, and then all of the bile in my stomach for the next 24 hours, along with a lasting ache in the body as I very slowly recovered. TL;DR Ate the BBQ Chicken, puked it all and the rest of my insides too. I have made a Recovery. Looking past the whole BBQ Chicken incident, the rest of the food is quite delicious and the staff is generous and kind, the only thing I do ask for is some more insight upon the Chicken served, but other than that, I have...

Awful food...almost everything I tried was dried out and had been in the trays WAY too long. The sushi was truly the worse...I was hoping for average but every roll was crusty and chewy, like they had been under heat lamps. Even the nigiri, which is as basic as it gets, had a crust on the underside of the rice and the fish was subpar. The lobster roll was OK but mostly flavorless. The seaweed salad was slime. You're better off with gas station sushi!

The whole salmon filet had obviously been sitting for a long time as was so overcooked it was almost impossible to cut off a piece, Same with lemon chicken, General Tso chicken, potstickers...other than the sweet & sour soup there was not a single thing I'd call appetizing. The ice cream bar had a decent selection of flavors & cookies but not a single topping...no chocolate or other sauces, nuts, sprinkles, nada.

On the positive side it was clean and the restroom well stocked. Drinks were served promptly and refilled often, and the beer was cheap. Maybe if you just stick with the raw foods at the noodle grilling station it might be passable, but the proteins there looked past their prime. They advertise a Pho bar but I didn't see that.

This was on a Thursday night and the place was not crowded at all so maybe that's why there wasn't sufficient turnover to keep things fresh. I will not be returning to find out, there are too many good restaurants in LHC to suffer...

They overcharged then they only took $2 off total cost when they over charged altogether then I went to pay with one card but had them cancel that card for total cost of $77 & Bec I meant to use different card AND So they decided to bring back the overcharged cost back up again to $80 something...

(Bec at first they did incorrect amount of $85 then they correced it to correct charges of $77 BUT then they decided to bring it back up to $80 something again)

so they still overcharged again!!!

Deserts was basically Nothing in deserts AND buffet needed Fresh buffet meals as tonight was Older food not Fresh, almost gone... We arrived at 6:15pm. AND gnats was in my rice & veggies... so b'day dinner was ruined tonight!!!!!

This is our 3rd-4th time here (prior times here everything was Fresh & Good Food & Desert selections & Cleaned restroom BUT tonight was totally not the case as it was gross & they overcharged and still didn't correct it!!

Never Been So Disappointed As I We Were Tonight!!

Won't be coming back here again!!!

Restroom needs be cleaner too!!!

Health inspection needs be brought in to find out why theirs gnats...
