El Paraiso Mexican — Restaurant in Lake Havasu City

I'm from Las Vegas, I was in Lake Havasu on the weekend of 6/28/25 with my friends.

Firstly,

It started with the terrible service from the Host, she had a bad mood and was very slow with customers, We waited for about 20 minutes and she was not at all friendly.

After we were taken to the table, we had another terrible experience, a server named Alejandra, in a terrible mood, rude, without any sympathy, had no patience to explain the menu, my friend felt so humiliated that he lost his appetite and didn't want to order any more food, this server took the 4 menus from the table and walked away with her terrible mood and bad energy.

She (Alejandra) didn't even give me the opportunity to look at the menu for longer and order something else.

The drinks (soft drinks) ordered took about 30 minutes to be brought to the table.

The bad mood of the server Alejandra made our dinner the worst restaurant experience we had, and then I asked the host to put another server in place, the host with her bad mood listened to me and then another host changed our table, and Antonio, the new server, was attentive and very kind to us after we had been irritated by the terrible service since we entered the restaurant.

Alejandra didn't want to explain about the menu, and when my friend said he wanted to order, she was rude saying it wasn't served at dinner, while Antonio said it was available for dinner too.

but the terrible experience we had since we arrived at the restaurant and the service from the server Alejandra, her rudeness when serving us and the delay in serving the sodas, I do not recommend the restaurant to anyone and much less will I go back again. And a lot of noise from the bussers throwing dirty glasses behind our table.

As a past customer of the former restaurant, and not a big fan, I was reticent to give my time to the new establishment. I have “heard” the new place was less desirable and lacking. I patronized a few weeks ago on a Taco Tuesday. I sat in the main dining room, joining friends. It was about 5pm, and the restaurant was filling quickly. I found the service to be abnormally attentive, fresh energy from the waiter and water/ chip employees. It appeared there was more energy, more smiles and more ‘anything we can do for you’. I was impressed. I was impressed enough, I returned the following week and sat at the bar. The singular bartender was busy. To busy to notice us for close to ten minutes. No greeting, no drink, no chips. For ten minutes. There was four other people at the bar, and the lack of a salutation for that extended time was enough to wonder if we should duck out. Finally, we were acknowledged and then it was game on. Friendly service, drinks flowed and while the chips were lacking in a reasonable time refill, the dinner arrived.

Both meals were tasty.

I will be returning and keep in mind, I stopped patronizing the former restaurant for lack of service reasons, my first two experiences here have prompted me to include this restaurant as part of my regular circle. I wish them well and hope they are around...

This place is very clean and has an abundance of friendly staff. We were greeted at the door immediately and sat. Our drink order went in immediately and came out very fast. The music is just the right volume as well. I cannot stand having to speak over music ever, but most especially during such an intimate moment as having a good meal. Half way through the meal the manager/supervisor came around and asked what else could be done for us. We were all set but I really love when the person who is responsible for the shift actually comes out of the office and walks the floors. The manager was tasking people and sweeping things up themselves. Good job! Everyone was polite as can be and the food was absolutely delicious. Cooked exactly the way I wanted. The margaritas come to the table with a slice of lemon that burns orange and blue with flame!🔥🔥🔥. A creative and unusual little touch I really liked to see. The parking lot is clean, well marked and organized. The restaurant was a bit warm but I think the ac was acting up, I could see workers pointing to it and discussing it. As with many types of food, there is much debate on what's better, traditional, American, etc. For me, delicious is the style I like and this place has...
