Azul Agave — Restaurant in Lake Havasu City

So if anyone ever gave this place a negative review, they were racist. Now let me tell you, if you have not dined at this place you have not been to the best Mexican Cuisine, Lake Havasu has to offer. If I could, I would eat here every day. My recount of the experience. The hostess was genuine calm and not overly friendly. Our waitress was kind concise and very honest with her persona as again, we were not assaulted by a scripted emotion or other needless interactions. Its refreshing to be waited on by people not trying to blow smoke up your arse. Now the food. I ordered the Arrzo Con Pollo, a simplistic dish with a complex taste. The sauce on this dish was fantastically done! I could have stuffed my face till my buttons burst, but I really wanted some for later. The portions are perfect and the price for this quality of food hits the mark. When I walk away from a place I dine at and I am happier than when I went in, I know the people in the kitchen cook with heart and skill. Thank you to everyone in that kitchen and the staff for what will now be a weekly experience for me...

I bought a giftcard for a friend who lives local and couldnt join us do to health issues. The two hosts didnt know how to do it so they got help from the lady in the bar. The host said it was a 3% charge to use a card. No big deal. I read it on the sign when we came in. When I got home I realized they charged me tax AND a 3% charge. You can't charge tax when purchasing a giftcard and charge the customer using the gift card tax too. When I called the girl was very rude and said the manager was busy and to come back this week and he would refund me. We live out of town. (Which i'm sure they knew) He should be able to fix it over the phone since I used to a card and have my receipts. Good way to scam people. Due to the way this was handled I will not bring my business back here and give warning that this place is good at...

I'm not one for bad reviews, check my past reviews and you will see. I have to give one star to Azul Agave, sorry guys but I just bought the worst lunch ever. I ordered Super Nachos, during Happy Hour for 1/2 off. Should've be $5.50 since they are $11. I was charged 8.99 and they said " during Happy hour they take off the sour cream and guacamole" and then charge you $3 when they confirm you want sour cream and guacamole in it. It's kinda sneaky not mentioning the extra padding on the bill. Worst part is I literally threw the entire thing away, it was all mushy and disgusting, you could eat the nachos with a spoon! Nachos are supposed to be crispy. I work less than 1000 feet from the place, no reason for me to get mush for nachos. I'm out $ and still...
