I am not one to write reviews but I feel I owe the community the service to share this WARNING. If you still go after reading this, then it's on you. Save yourself the aggravation and just avoid this place. The service is extremely poor, the prices are extremely high for what you get and the management is a direct reflection of the poor quality you will receive by stopping in. When we arrived, the place was pretty empty with one table about to leave and the only other customers waiting to pay their tab. We should have gotten the clue when the waitress was apologizing to both tables for whatever reason. We finally got to place our drink order after waiting almost 15 mins. Our drinks came and we finally placed our food order. We ordered a large Vegetable Pizza but asked to add chopped sirloin which was an extra $1.99 per topping. After the pizza came, our first impression was it looked good, but after eating the first slice, we noticed it was missing the chopped sirloin. We reported this to the waitress and she said she would either remove the extra charge for the missing ingredient or would get the meat and bring to us separately to add to it. We said just remove from the bill and please give us a box to go. A few minutes later she came back with the box and said her manager said he personally made the pizza and he knows he put the sirloin on the pizza, it's just hidden under the cheese. We looked under the cheese and did not see any and just said we will accept the offer to remove the charge. Then the manager came to the table and argued that he put the sirloin on the pizza and wanted to show us. We took the pizza out and he literally pointed out these tiny specs the size of black pepper (see photo) and told us this was the sirloin. SERIOUSLY???? He said it's chopped, that's what it looks like. He then refused to remove the charge from our bill. What a rip-off. This is theft as far as we are concerned. We will...
Read moreAwesome pizza and fantastic service. I've been driving by this pizzeria for years during my rush to class at Seminole State; hoping to one day stop by and grab a slice. Well today was that day, I was hungry and I wanted GOOD PIZZA. I'm from a small town in Ohio, so when I pulled up to park I instantly felt at home, surrounded by the small town atmosphere of the area. I grabbed a menu and found it to be fully loaded with options, but to be honest I didn't read it for long. The smell of fresh hot pizza coming from the brick-oven was overwhelming; I was ready to eat. I scanned through the menu for a few seconds then asked my server Lauren Anderson, "which one of these specialty pizzas will BLOW MY MIND and make me come running back for more?" She instantly pointed to the Vesuvio pie with deep conviction, like a woman picking out her favorite pair of shoes. lol And of course their favorite is always the most expensive. lol But good women always know what’s on sale, and guess what, her choice qualified for their lunch special! And at that moment I FELL IN LOVE; with the pizza choice of course. haha Not that Lauren was hard to order from. ;) But I couldn't believe how good the pizza was. It was so good that I dashed all the way from Lake Mary to Maitland to let my mother try a slice for her lunch-break. At this point my grandmother, who was riding with me and who absolutely hates pizza, snatched a slice from the box and devoured it! Just like that, this place became our new family go-to pizzeria. Is there a better pizzeria in Central Orlando? Maybe so, but as long as Lauren is working there and they keep that brick oven fired up, you'll be sure to see me there trying something new. With that said, never pass up good food and service in Orlando. Why you ask? If you don’t already know, just keep living and eating in Orlando and you'll quickly find out why such a combination is worth more than gold in...
Read moreWe have visited this place twice to try them out. Both times the service was bad. After our first visit I thought we would try again in order to give them a second chance as every one has off days. Second trip, different waitress, same bad service.
First trip the pizza was good and I liked it. We had ordered two smalls and an order of cheese sticks. The cheese sticks came out super greasy with the garlic butter dripping off of them and onto the paper they had beneath it to get the excess. Way to much in my opinion. The pizza came out and we enjoyed them. They were good(which is why I gave 2 stars instead of 1). The service though was slow, we seemed more like a burden on the waitress and our $2.50 soda drinks were never refilled.
Second trip we had a different waitress. We ordered bread sticks and 2 calzones. We never got the bread sticks as she had forgotten to give the order to the cook(we heard the conversation and argument they were having) and then came out and blamed it on the cook. We just cancelled the order for those as we didn't want to wait for them another 15 minutes. The calzones were awful and bland. Basically dough, cheese and toppings. Even a little bit of spices on the top or a bit of sauce inside of it would have made it better. Again, we did not get a refill on our drinks even when I asked she walked away. We were offered a refill after we were done but by then our meals were finished. If the calzone was good I would have given this place at least 3 stars.
Because of these two trips we will not be back to any...
