Went to check out this market for fresh fruits and vegetables for the first time. We purchased some Blueberries, tomatoes, and a pineapple. The pineapple was very yellow, but the store rep said it would be good, if not to let her know. They did say that Friday's are the freshest day for their produce and fruits. The next day I went to cut the pineapple and it was rotten. My husband and I tried the blueberries and they had no tastes at all. I returned the pineapple the next day and was issued a refund. We were interested getting a watermelon with seeds that Friday. My husband went there on Friday afternoon for a watermelon with seeds ( which we can never find anymore) the store rep showed him to the watermelon with seeds and he bought it. We were originally told they were $6.99, but he paid $10 for this one. We cut the watermelon open that evening and it was a seedless watermelon, which we did not want. It was completely tasteless and a waste of money again. We threw the whole watermelon away because we don't live close enough to keep going back again. We tried the place twice and we do...
Read moreWe had a great experience shopping at Morganic Meats this afternoon. A few weeks ago we picked up a pre packaged pot roast meal (chuck roast vacuum sealed with veggies, seasonings, broth/stock). It was phenomenal! We hoped to find another one today. Sadly, they were out when we arrived. Amy, who was super friendly to my family as soon as we entered, said no problem! She made one on the spot! I wish customer service like this existed everywhere! Amy was super knowledgeable and open to discussing everything related to their farm, partners, and store front. Thank you Amy for making our day! We look forward to dropping the pot roast in our slow cooker tomorrow morning and enjoying it when we return home. We will be back! Also, for anyone reading this, request the pot roast meal. It is truly...
Read moreWas this 9.8oz filet mignon tasty? Sure. Was it worth $26? ABSOLUTELY NOT! That is $42.99/lb, which is just insane. I have bought an innumerable number of equally good tasting filets from Wal-Mart for approximately HALF that price. I don’t think this place’s meat is graded by the USDA, but the marbling on my steak was definitely the equivalent of Choice grade, and for $43/lb I require Prime level marbling. Only shop for beef here if you are supremely wealthy and think supporting a local farm is worth paying double what you can easily...
