My experience at Reeta 's Organics Natural Hair & Skin Care was AMAZING.

I started the process by booking a consultation in January 2024. After consulting with Reeta and getting my test locs in February, I booked my installation for March 2024.

With the intentions of (1) cleaning my hair and scalp well with a clarifying shampo to ensure that I begin my loc journey with a healthy, clean grid and (2) creating a strong foundation of micro-twists to support my hair growth , Syreeta "Reeta" and her team (Donna and Maya) made my March 2024 initiation into the #microloc #gridgang the best.

The family-like vibes of the team in the salon also made it was easy for me as an introvert to join in the conversation and laugh as the team worked on my hair. In the time of a typical workday (with breaks provided as needed), my install was complete. I was overjoyed to see my new 'do as Reeta revealed my locs with the spin of the chair. It was even better than I had imagined.

Reetas also booked my first three re-ties and made sure I understood how to care for my hair in-between services before I left. This helped me feel more confident about my locs.

I recently took the self-retightening microlocs training virtually, and it was such an empowering experience! My daughter and I both have siterlocks. Syreeta has incredible knowledgeable, patient, and made sure that we were comfortable and confident throughout the session. She explained that the three-point rotation was best for our hair. Initially,I didn't think that I would be able to learn. She not only taught us how to retighten our locks, but also how to resolve issues that we may face, such as budding and holes in our locks.

We got hands-on practice, clear guidance, and plenty of time to ask questions. She shared with us how to properly care for our locks, and what we should and should not use on them. I now feel confident doing my own reties, which is a game-changer for my hair journey and budget!
